I live in your GGG's house!!
Hi,

I am researching information on your great-great grandfather and his family. I am not sure if his name is Simeon, Simpson, or Simson...since well, records weren't always consistent in the past. (And they aren't always easy to read.) I live in his house! I hope you will contact me!

Thanks!

Live in Chadron. I helped place headstone photos of the two Alliance Cemeteries on nebraskagravestones.org website a few years ago. I was able to download the photos to my computer from CD's with all of the headstone photos courtesy of the Knights Museum.

RE: Abigail Davenport
Just wanted to let you know I did another walk around at the cemetery today, and I still didn't find Abagail's marker anywhere. I just found out she was married to James Davenport, so I'll look around his marker and see if she's on it with him. Stll looking!

Yes, it is a real shame the condition the Northside Cemetery has gotten to. I am going out to look for some more headstones in the Davenport family, so I'll keep an eye out for Abagail again. It is just possible I might have overlooked her somehow. The cemetery is getting some clean up activity, but it really needs restoration and preservation work.

Thank you so much for taking that photo. The one we had, there was several inches of snow on the ground. We did not even know that Betty Ann Stahl Wood and Harold Wayne Wood were there, as their headstones were covered in snow. What a wonderful surprise.

Thank you for your work on Find-A-Grave. You make respecting our ancestors and genealogy research much easier. The photo is wonderful.

Would you please upload your photo to Henry Curtis Wood (16742337) also, yours is so much better than the one we had.

We hit request on Harold and Betty, so you can use the same photo for them also.

Thank you again,

Dale & Marie

RE: Coppernoll photos
You are Welcome! These pix were in my file. Took them a few years ago when I was researching the Christman family who also lived in the same New Turnpike area, Ephratah, N.Y. Never did tie them into my family, but delighted to know they are suddenly useful to another family. The cemetery is on private property as most family cemeteries are and it continues to be well maintained, though I know not the caretaker. It is in a rural area.
There is a Stephen Gray and his wife, Mary Whitlock Gray buried there, too. I believe he once owned the farm. I do not know his connection to the Coppernolls.
It's been a pleasure . . .Chris Wilson
