|Renata D.||RE: Transfer request|
Thank you for the transfer. And, by chance are you the Larry Smith who has written several books on the Marines?
On a completely unrelated coincidence I noticed that a Haverstock had sent you a message. I am also a descendant of Conrad Haverstock...though from my mother's side. Small world!

I am so THRILLED to get this message from you, Larry! Sam Myers has been a brick wall for me for many years, so I am so happy to get some fresh information on him. I've been searching for his burial place, and am only making an educated guess on the information that I have. I am on my way to work, so will look over my notes again tonight. I have Catherine Larr's sister, Hannah married to a CONDE. I do not have information on her marrying and divorcng Sam's brother. This is so exciting! Can you confirm that she also married a CONDE as well? Yes, I have some evidence for Arthur and Irvin being the sons of Sam Myers. I'll write again tonight. Thank you so much for contacting me. I won't get any work done today!

Thank you for the Correction to add his parents. That was a brick wall for me because they were not listed on his Death Certificate. I'm working on this for my Uncle Dale Myers who would be Charles E Myers Great grandson.

Hi Larry... Thank you for bringing the duplicate to my attention.. I use old survey records and a walk thru the cemetery to create my memorials.. and while I'm usually very careful about not creating any duplicates, all I can assume is that the different spelling on the cemetery survey record thru me off.. I have deleted my 'Meyers' duplicate..

I had to find you on Find A Grave because I had to get a new hard drive & they lost most of my email addresses when they put it in. Anyway, I hope the email listed for you on Find A Grave is an up to date one. I'm still having computer problems even after many hours hanging on the phone with a geek & my computer wouldn't let me contact you on your Heritage site. Now that I have your email, I'll send you some info about Mathias. Carly

|TLH||Paul Myers photo request|
Hi, the volunteers would be happy to fill your photo request however we will need a burial location to do so.
Can you please contact Laurel Land and get a burial location for your request? The number is 214 371 1336
or the email link is:
There are over 447 photo requests currently and the volunteers cannot ask for that many locations to fill requests. With a location, your request will get filled pretty quickly. Thanks for your help!

|Don Haverstock||RE: Haverstock Descendent|
I am also a direct descent from Jacob ( Conrad's first son.
Jacob is buried in Indiana with his son William in the same tomb.
Are you a member of Ancestry.Com? If so - do you have info about Tobias, Conrad, Jacob and others in your Haverstock family tree? Is your family tree public, so that I can look at it?
Please respond when you have time.

after replying to Carlene.... noticed you have been searching for the location... I am trying to track down cotact info for Betty Ann Lowe who is a local descendant/family historian to see if she wants to be listed as a point of contact, then will be submitting update info on the cemetery, but for your immediate satisfaction on a search completed.....
1583 Ridge Rd, Shepherdstown, WV 25442
on googlemaps, follow the dirt road below the barn to the treeline and you can make out the rectangular fence around the cemetery.
i live a couple miles away, after seeing other peoples hints, thoughts and frustrations, i did a google search and dug through the results, found it in an application for the property to be listed as a national historical place, which it now is, under names of Snyder Farm; Twin Ridge Orchards; York Hill Orchard & Farm

According to the current property owner, the fence was put up several years ago after a Snyder family reunion. He is not a descendant, but Snyder and Hendricks families are close by and come out several times a year to clean up the area.

Hi! Sorry, I think I mis-spelled his name. I found Charles. I wanted to apologize - his stone was really difficult to read. I also got Mary - his wife! Have a good day!

Thank you for the photo of John's marker. I appreciate you taking the time to post it on his memorial.
Hope things have been going well for you & yours. You must be doing a lot of genealogy as I get the notices from Ancestry quite often of you having added to your tree. It does keep us busy! Thanks again, Carlene

Who knows where the errors lie, even death certificates are incorrect at times. In any case, it was my pleasure to post the Shelmerdine stone photos and all those at Bynum. It is a lovely cemetery and it is obvious the community has supported it over the years.

|Dan Pool||J E Moyer|
I just found an article "History of Barney's Prairie Church", written by J E Moyer.
It was a Christian Church built in the early 1800's by 3 men. The location was north of Mt. Carmel, Illinois. One of those three was an ancestor of mine, James Pool. He was the first minister of the church.
Could this be the same man in your find a grave? The obit says he went to northern Illinois. This area would be considered southern Illinois. He sounds like he may have been acquainted with the church. It would have been well after James Pool was there. Mr. Pool died in 1855.
