Connect Family Please
Could you please connect Charles N Lovett Memorial No. 70983351 to his father Alexander Lovett Memorial No. 137025196. I sent an edit a while back, but see that it has not been received yet. Thank you!

George Holden
You posted a Find a Grave memorial #92618220 on 6-26-2012 for George W. Holden. In that memorial, in which his name is incorrectly spelled George W. Hoolden, it states he is buried at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, just outside Philadelphia, Pa. When I called Mt. Moriah they said he is not buried there. The person buried there is the second person named in the piece that accompanies the memorial, a John B. Jackson. Do you have any reason to believe he is actually buried there? He is my great, great grandfather and I have been trying to locate where he is buried for years.
Any information you could provide would be appreciated. Thanks, George Roberts

Sixth Street Union Cemetery.
Hi Chuck, I've noticed you've done a lot of work with the Sixth Street Union Cemetery. When you post photos of monuments from that cemetery, are these the ones that currently are in Philadelphia Memorial Park? I have at least a couple of relatives who were originally interred at Sixth Street Union. Do you know if all the bodies were removed to PMP? Is there a record of the removals somewhere? Appreciate your help on this. Thanks, John D.

George W. Hoolden
I found this listing by accident. George W.'s name was Holden, not Hoolden. Your memorial was touching. He was my great great grandfather on my father's side. I have been trying for months to track down information. How did you know how old he was? I never saw that listed. I just recently found out he died 6-29-1862 at Savage Station, Virginia in the 3rd day of a 7 day battle. Do you have any other information on him? I'd be happy to share what I know. George H. Roberts

June Standley
Irene M. McLaughlin, Northwood Cemetery, Philadelphia
Chuck, I found this memorial for Irene this evening and also noted that the tombstone had Foltz on it. The person I'm looking is Irene M. (Foltz) McLaughlin and according to the 1920 census, she was in Philadelphia on January 1st of that year. I can't read the picture, other than the name. I was wondering if you could send me a copy of the photo from your original to my e-mail address at I think this is probably my person, but would like to have more info before I include this info in my database.

Thanks so much for your help.

Clara McIver
I'm researching my husband's family and have found Susan A Davenport at this cemetery. I believe she was a Tatem, possibly the senior Samuel Tatem's sister. Do you have any further information on this family? Thanks!

Thank you
Thank you for the photos, not only of the headstone, but also the extra research for the death certificate. Almost thought you were a cousin! Appreciate your diligence, and the transfer. Living out of state, the visual of the cemetery is a bonus!

Thanks again,

Emeline Waples
A belated hello, again. I thought editing the cemetery location would have removed her from Union I deleted her memorial from there, yet she still shows up in a search from the cemetery page, yet when clicking on her name, it says the memorial is not found. So...must be a glitch in the system that will eventually resolve itself. Anyhow...once again, thank you for your help and also for taking the time to add her original death certificate note, it was a very kind of you! :) All the best, Berneice.

Madeline Johns
I believe this to be my great 4x grandfather, James Foster. Phil PA Death Certificates Index 1803-1915 indicate he was buried in Union Cemetery. With the moving of the cemeteries, this is somewhat of an assumption but with the remaining Foster head stone unidentified I believe its a fair assumption. Therefore, would you please add the following information to this memorial page:

Name: James Foster
Birth: 1778 Yorkshire, England
Death: 21 Aug 1840, Philadelphia, PA

Spouse: Married Elizabeth Wilson (b.1797 in England)

Thomas Foster (1815-1886)
James Foster (b.1817)

James came to America as a young boy in 1782.

Thank You,
Madeline Johns

I saw your posts on another site - forgot now - but I was wondering if you know where the remains have been transfered? I had a relative - Israel Ball died 27 Feb 1872 - who was buried there.

Union Burial Ground
Thanks for responding on the world press page. The family name of most interest to me is Benjamin Hutchinson, dob 1821 and dod 1861. I have a family letter that states that he along with a number of other family members (Lapsley)were buried in UBG. He lived a few blocks away on what is now Warnock St.I went to PHS at 13th and Locust but was unable to locate any burial records for that cemetery. I have been told that the remains were moved to Mt Moriah, but talking to them by phone they are too busy to check their records. If you know the call number for these records at PHS I'll take a train to Philly from the shore and review the records. You can contact me directly at: My family history stops at Benj as I am unable to document his parents.I do know he was born in Philly.
Thanks for your help,
Jeff Hutchinson
PS where can I get copies of those pictures ?
