RE: Hilda Mahin (89087705)
Thanks for the quick reply Shirley!

How do we go about correcting Hilda's husband to Lewis and not her brother-in-law Earl? Lewis is the L.E. Beightler on her headstone. (Lewis Edgar)

The easiest way to see her documentation is on her FamilySearch page under sources. In the 1910 census it shows Earl living with Hilda and Lewis. The next year Earl married Hilda's siste, Angie (Emma Angeline).

Hilda Mahin Beightler's Family Search number is LZGT-SQJ. She married Lewis Beightler in 1908. She developed TB while she was pregnant with my dad and died 6 months after he was born...

Thanks again for all your efforts to connect all of us out there with our ancestors.

Best regards,
Brenda Beightler Davis

Dear Shirley,

Thank you for posting my grandmother's grave stone. There is a error on the summary you listed on the site.

Hilda's husband was Lewis Edgar Beightler in Feb 1908.

Earl was Lewis' brother. Earl married Emma Angelina (Aunt Angie) on 27 Aug 1910.

Thanks for all of your efforts,
Brenda Davis

You may add or make any corrections, I don't need any credit....I just add, trying to make it easier for the next person who searches. I've worked on the Tipsword and Sowards for about 35 years now and sometimes I still get it wrong..correct away...diana

I don't know about Christian. Can you recheck the obit for Garrett? I do not have it. Perhaps he was born after Garrett, and the engraving was added later. He is the son of my first cousin once removed.

Thank you very much. I will probably get down there soon. I wonder if there are still internment records for this cemetery. Id like to be able to put some kind of stone there one day for the both of them. But being so long ago, and such a span of time between their deaths, I don't know if she is actually there. Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate it.
Thanks, Cynthia Lindsey.

I'm sorry, I meant Benjamin "Morris" Backensto. I was wondering who took the picture. I'm looking for his wife Eliza Bascom Backensto. Someone said the stone is unreadable, she died years after him. Benjamin and Eliza are my 4th great grandparents. Thank you so much for your fast replies, and contributions to this site! I'm in Champaign Urbana Illinois. If there's ever anything I could do for you here or in surrounding areas please let me know, I'd be glad to help! Thank you!!

Dr Ernest L. Casselmann
Hi. I'm working on the Koester Family History in Ancestry.com and usually cross reference it with Find a Grave. I noticed the date of birth for Dr. Ernest L. Casselmann (79529372), son of Philomena "Minnie" Koester Casselman (79529481), is Feb. 29, 1896 and the date of his passing is Oct. 19, 1918. That would mean he was approximately 22 years old when he passed. I found his brother Louis E. Casselman (53403701) who also passed away on Oct. 19, 1918.

There is another brother named Dr. Frank G. Casselman (79492294) who married Louise Vonderhiede Casselman (79492246) born in 1915. Their son, Frank E. Casselman (82699128), was born in 1917.

Some of these dates don't make sense to me but I'm less familiar with this branch of the Koester Family living in Effingham, Illinois. Just want to bring to your attention. Thanks.

I am searching for my G Grandparents who are buried in St Anthony cemetery on Effingham. I have visited their plot many years ago and after vandalism I could no longer find it. The church and Springfield Diocese tell me they have no record of them. There are a few living relatives who have visited it in the past but do not remember where exactly it is. I know this is a long shot but thought maybe since you've taken so many pictures perhaps their marker would be in one of your shots. any clue would be helpful. loraryan97@yahoo.com

Hi Shirley,
We have Wright's in our family too. I am not sure if they are direct relatives. I would need to find out for sure before I would transfer.

Hi Shirley,
Can you go to the memorial page and send it through the edit tab, then add a suggestion. It makes it easier so I don't have to do a search for the memorial you are asking to link.

Blessings, Christine (Beverly's daughter)

Oh, you did not have to delete, in fact you shouldn't have . . . now your date is new and that may be a problem . . . all you had to do was go to the Burial: [Edit] and click on Edit - select the first option for Cemetery burial . . . type in Maple Hill, select IL or whatever state and then select from the list. You would see five options for Maple Hill, and just select the one with Cemetery in the name in Wayne County . . . Now you've lost your original creation date and I think for Mary Cable there is another memorial there, although Find A Grave does give credit for placing people in the right place. Take a look by searching for Mary Cable in Wayne County. I'm so sorry you didn't know that. Always better to MOVE someone rather than recreating. Sorry if this is causing a problem.
