Are you sure there was an ash burial?

I can't find any records - perhaps you could try the funeral director - they may have more details of any burial or collection.

You might check with your local library. A lot of them now have Ancestry's library edition on their public computers... I found it by doing a search on Google for Fritz Thannhauser and then clicking images...

Do you belong to Ancestry? I just found a tree belonging to a Cynthia Garrett with lots of Thannhauser pictures and info? If you are not a member, you might want to do the 7-day free trial and I will send you the link for her tree...

Nope. Not mine. There's also a photo of Fred Jr, did you see that?

Fritz Thannhauser born 14 Feb 1858 in Glatz, Germany and died 23 April 1943 in Detroit, Wayne Co, Michigan

His wife was Wilhelmina "Minne" Thannhauser born 21 June 1868 in Germany and died 26 June 1950 in Detroit, Wayne Co, Michigan. Her maiden name was Seichert?

RE: Hazel Green Thanhauser
My suggestion would be to e-mail the place that took care of the funeral. That's worked best for me rather than calling. I have Frederick's parents death data, but no place where they are buried! Both of them died in Detroit and maybe Fred Jr and Hazel are buried along with Jr's parents???

Heather Benedicta Carla Smith
Hi Teri --

I was able to find the cemetery marker for Heather Smith in Kyogle NSW yesterday. I just wanted to let you know that the marker next to it was for a Gordon James Smith. I've uploaded a photo of that one to his memorial just in case he's related:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=103565545

Kind regards,
Danielle

Thomas Powers in Green-Wood
You asked for a legible photograph of the Powers stone. There is no stone. The caption to the photo uploaded on Thomas Powers's page explains that. The photos on the memorial pages are thumbnails. Click on them to enlarge them and reveal captions--if the photographer has provided one. The caption for the Thomas Powers grave photo is:

Green-Wood Cemetery
Section 2, Public Lot 5499, Grave #1261.
Grave #1261 is unmarked, in the center of the photo. A stone placed for those buried here would stand just to the right of the RICHTER stone (the stone closest to the camera position).
[NOTE: Burial list from online cemetery records, with burial dates, which may represent reburials after removal from previous graves. This list may be incomplete. Contact cemetery for complete information about this lot at http://www.green-wood.com:
POWERS: Edward H, Robert E, and Thomas H, all 3 on 5/20/1886; Maud L, 5/20/1886; and Sarah E, 4/10/1892.]

Sally Green

Hi

Glad to do it. Also I have made a note of Chaffee Green, and I will keep a look out for him. The part of the cemetery that Sally Green is in is I think the oldest past of the cemetery. There are head stones that are in pretty bad shape. As you can see from hers, but not all. And you never know.

God Bless
Eric

Teri,

You could double-check with the church about those graves that I couldn't find.

RE: Green Graves
Hi Teri, Would this be in the same cemetery? If so I can go back and check their list. I have only lived here in Orange City for a couple of years so don't know much about it. Let me know if they might be in Hollywood Cemetery.

Both Louis and Marie are buried in section 146, lot 24394. An error during the transcription of records into the online database (lot 24393) generated a wrong section number (193). I have contacted the page creator and asked to have the change made on the Find-a-Grave page. See the photo captions once the photos are uploaded.

Teri I just checked my map and I took the pic of 104A so you are probably right and 144A is just across the road so hopefully I will be able to get back up there in the next couple of weeks and fulfill your request. Keep in touch, will let you know as soon as I complete.

Hello,

I don't reside near this cemetery but would suggest you contact the person who took the photo and they use the name Annonymous. This person is a contributor and has answered back in the past. Happy Hunting.

Pearl Simons
Hi Teri. I went over to Chapel of the Chimes to check on Pearl this morning. Unfortunately, she is not there. You might try Cedar Lawn Cemetery at 510 656 5565, Irvington Memorial Cemetery at 510 656 5800, of if she was Catholic Holy Sepulchre at 510 581 2488. If she was buried in the Niles area, which is a portion of Fremont, CA, those are the most likely. Sorry Irene

Hi Teri, I create my memorials from the photos that I take and I have posted all the memorials that I have pictures for so I guess the answer to your question would be no. Sorry.

Teri, it looks like her husband's name was Conrad W. Unfortunately, these are in the oldest mausoleum in this cemetery so it is rarely visited and they don't have ladders in there. These were on the top tier which is about 15 feet off the ground, so very hard to photograph. This was the best I could do. Sorry. Irene

Kenneth Green
Teri, sorry, again the quality isn't great. These are in the same row, but this one I guess gets less light. Since you have a memorial, I can figure out the dates for Kenneth, but I can't make them out for Ida Mae. Sorry, Irene
