picture of Simeon Stark
May I have permission to use picture you posted of Simeon Stark and wife. Can you also confirm which of Simeon's 3 wives is shown? I would like to add to my tree on family search. Thank you, D Drake

DNA
Hi Valerie, my name is Christina. I've been doing the ancestry thing and am having trouble tracing my line of Stark's. THERE ARE SO MANY! I had my uncle do the DNA test but he doesn't seem to match any of the Stark's that I THINK I have traced correctly. Is there a STARK DNA test I can take or share my results with? I will appreciate any help I can get understanding this whole thing. It is so intriguing and confusing at the same time!

Thanks,

Christina

Love the search! You'll figure it out. I just added John and Minnnie Stark. They are in the Coles Side of Shield cemetery, but only 8 rows over from Lousetta, Abraham, and William. I am going to to ask admin if they will put an HTML link on the front page of the cemeteries. That would make it so much easier to go back and forth. I have a good friend married to a Stark. His family has been around here for many years - maybe from this original family.

Nope, not related. Just enumerating the cemetery for cemetery records. Did you notice that Louestta's brother in law, Abraham, and an infant William Marion are also there? Maybe you know who the baby belongs to.

Thanks for making the switch to quickly!

RE: Hudson
If I did my math right we are fourth cousins. I'd love to see a picture of Jesse Hudson -- I don't have any. I have a few of his daughter Emma May.

I see that you found my wildly popular Facebook page, The Schanbachers of Hannibal, Missouri. I sent you a friend request if you want to communicate more directly.

Hearn relative
Your message: "Are you a Hearn relative? My 3rd great grandmother is Lousetta Hearn Stark."

Yes, I am a Hearn relative. Lousetta was also my 3rd great grandmother. Lousetta and Simeon's daughter, Harriet Stark, was my 2nd great grandmother. She married Jesse Hudson and gave birth to my great grandmother, Emma Mae Hudson.

William STARK Sr.
Yes, he is my husband's 8x great grandfather. My husband descends through his son William, Jr. How about you? Have you done any DNA testing?

You might try contacting the other contributor, so you can combine information. I've had good luck with that before.
It may be that they aren't related, and would rather delete it, so you can carry on.

It's just hard to connect when there are 2 memorials for the same person.

Both memorials are in the same cemetery.
#25752743 says it was created 5 APR 2008.
Your memorial was created 23 AUG 2011.

Angeline Glenn Lamb
I connect to Angeline Glenn Lamb through her husband Ellsworth Lamb. We both descend through Henry 1697 and Elizabeth (Henley) Lamb.
Henry Lamb sons', Esau and Joseph were brothers.
His line is Ellsworth, Hezekiah, John, Josiah, Esau, and Henry 1697. And I descend through John William Merritt, son of Lydia Louzina (Lamb) Merritt, William D. Lamb, Joel Joseph Lamb, Albert Reuben Lamb Joseph Lamb and Henry Lamb 1697.
I don't know how you fit in, but I'm sure you, your mother, and grandmother before Ellsworth Lamb, husband of Angelind (Glenn) Lamb.

So the answer would be, Yes I am distantly related to Angeline Glenn through her husband and the Lamb "Clan".

Thanks for asking.
Sincerely,
Louzina Spoon

I don't think I can do that... Doesn't one have to link the parent to the child?

RE: Richard Amos Farley
Hi Valerie,

I just found the message you left for me on my findagrave site:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=mr&GRid=19612612&MRid=46911866&
back in Oct 2011 regarding Richard Farley and Zelphia. Timing on finding the message is good, I had just found the 1940 census record with Richard, Zelphia, June and Joe. Both June and Joe are about the same age as my father-in-law Leslie Williams, one of Richard Farley's great-grandchildren. We were talking to Les about June and Joe just last week. How are they doing? I'd love more information about them, their lives and families.

I've uploaded entire family tree, including all picture and documents to ancestry.com. I'd be happy to send you an invite to access the tree if you're interested... Please respond via email @ mbowen@umich.edu.

Hope to here from you,
Mike

I found an antique that belonged to your family
Hello,

I sell vintage items online. I purchased a large amount of books from the 1800's and found one with a message inside with a pretty interesting story.

You can find it here:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/185815146/rare-a-manual-of-commercial-law-vintage?ref=shop_home_active_1

The only email I check regularly is through the link on the Etsy page. If any of the actual decedents are interested I will lower the price to almost nothing to get it back to you.

It belonged to:
J. A. Stark
and
A. W. Stark

Please correct this memorial - the photograph is of a marker in the restored Cornell burial ground in Rockaway Queens (NY) - I know this because I took the photo myself! Please see Find A Grave Memorial# 13964623.
Thanks,
Bonnie

Its possible she buried here. There were a few stones that I was unable to read because they were so worn. Then there's also the possibility of an unmarked grave. Sorry I couldn't help.

On my mom's side, my Great-Grandmother was Lucinda Stark (1872-1946) who married Enoch Walters. On my dad's side, my GG-Grandmother Emma Stark (b. 1861) married Wilson Asbury.

Yes, I am a descendant of the Starks. Interestingly, I found out my parents were 6th cousins, as they are both GGGGG-Grandchildren of Jonathan Stark (1712-1765) and Sarah Lacock (1722-1784).
