RE: duplicate of Joan Mick
I'm sorry that my memorial to Joan Mick is a duplicate of one you posted earlier. When I post memorials, I am posting from current obituaries, so I check for prior postings by limiting the search death in the current year. Since your memorial was posted back in 2011, before she died, my search did not pick up a prior memorial. This may be why the Find A Grave site discourages adding memorials for those who are still living {Is it acceptable to add a memorial for someone who is still living?
The site does not encourage adding memorials for individuals who are still living. However, when transcribing a cemetery, it is not always possible to determine if the person is living or not. You are welcome to create a 'pre-need' memorial for yourself provided that you have a pre-need headstone already in place in a cemetery. Memorials for individuals who are alive will be removed when proof is provided (the exception being for 'famous' individuals who already have a burial location in place).} I'm willing to delete my duplicate memorial, or if you are unrelated and have no other objections, you could send edits to my memorial, adding the gravestone photo and plot information, and then delete your memorial. Let me know what you decide, and I'll do whatever you propose. Again, I'm sorry for posting a duplicate--I would not do so intentionally, and I hope you understand. Thank you.

RE: Bridget McDonough
I was originally looking for Bridget and Michael McDonald. My first search pulled up your Bridget 140143356 which had only a date of death, so I did a search with the McDonough spelling to see what came up. When I found Bridget McDonough, 649618820, she had no dates of death listed but the stones was inscribed wife of Michael. Both of those are in St. Stephens, so I thought she might have been duplicated. As for the Bridget in St. Mary's I hadn't seen that one yet. I will have to research more to see exactly which Bridget & Michael I need. Thanks so much, Amy

Thank you for adding my Grandfathers grave marker.

I've not been to Ohio to visit it since the 80's and misplaced the photo Id had of his grave.

Again, Thanks for posting it.
Though I can't visit his grave....Grandpa Johnson is not forgotten.

RE: Anna Siemers Blum
No worries. I have been entering all the records in Walnut Hills (2,000 records when I started, now about 46,000). It is a difficult task.

I have just started trying to record info from Ohio death records.

What I have found is that cemetery records are neither (1) complete, nor (2) entirely accurate.

Working with several others in Walnut Hills, we have found quite a few burials for people unrecorded by the sexton, but gravestones, which were photographed. Go figure!

Blum's death record says buried in St. Stephen, so I will leave it until other documents (perhaps of removal elsewhere) are located.

Happy recording!

RE: Anthony Bernoskey
I don't usually respond to rudeness. It seems that even his death notice (as well as his death certificate) names him Bernoskey. Either the family changed its name (happens) or engraver got it wrong. I will delete my neater looking memorial and hope never to hear from you again.

TRAUB memorial - THANKS!!
Thank you for creating a memorial for Bertha Traub (Find A Grave Memorial# 74759216). She is my second great aunt. I would appreciate the opportunity to manage her memorial, if you'd be so kind as to transfer it to me. I'd like to link it with other family and update it with more information.

Thanks again.

Kind regards, Jamie

RE: Joseph Bach
Sorry about that. I check every name before creating a memorial. Let me know if you see a dupe in the future and I will happily delete.

Memorial made before death
I don't appreciate being told that I am the one who has to delete when I did not do anything wrong. I will delete mine but I want you to be aware of the Find A Grave rules

"a memorial created after death will be preferred over a pre-need memorial."

I recently had one of my memorials deleted by Find A Grave even though I had already added the death date and all of the information. It was also from a cemetery that I transcribed. I didn't want it deleted because another member had bothered to go get a photograph as is true in this case as well.
