RE: Jimmie Logan
Hi Cheryl,
Yes that cemetery is big. We even got lost inside it. We stopped at the front office (chapel) and the lady gave us a map and looked up the plots for us. Sadly, I can not find that map. I must have thrown it away, sorry. If I am remembering correctly, Section Q is on the left hand side going in, go past the fountain, go past the tall monument in the middle of the cemetery. Over on the right, not a paved road, but a path made by the maintenance trucks. Section Q goes all the way to the left hand fence. It doesn't have many upright markers. Jimmie is about in the middle of the section. I think we counted 10 or 12 graves from the paved road. Good Luck. If you go during open hours, stop at the office. They were very very nice to us.

Fairview cemetery is HUGE..there is NO WAY a single individual searched the entire cemetery --it would take WEEKS! Just wanted to let you know. I was there last week--took lots of photos--looking for no one in particular but adding photos to findagrave as I have time--I'll cross my fingers I got yours by chance. :)

Please request a marker picture again. I added his death certificate and it can only go under "grave" - where you would normally place the marker picture. It popped your request as soon as I added the document. Perhaps it will help you in some way. I have linked a fair amount of this family - they are not kin to me. They are buried at several different cemeteries.

The covered gravesites are fairly common in the smaller church or community style cemeteries, along with the modern type of small headstones. Mainly it is whatever the family desires or can afford to have placed on the gravesite. I also took an overall picture of the Baugh family plot that had several more graves within. I will be glad to add it to the memorials if you so desire or I can email you the pic for your files.

You may certainly copy any of my photos. I do not do this for my gratification but for others to use.
God Bless

RE: photo use?

Yes, you may copy my photos of Belands and Moncriefs in Emmaus Cemetery in Troup Co., GA.

Do you have anymore info on the inscription on Amanda F. Moncrief's broken stone?

No.

You are so very welcome! I usually take photos of the surrounding stones if they have the same name especially if they are in the same bricked plot.

God Bless!

Sure ... I'm glad I could be of assistance. It's a very well-maintained cemetery just behind a church on a Farm-to-Market road. Very nice.

I only found about four stones on Happy Valley. Two marked are prob the Stamps couple. The other two stones could be your Herndon, but there are about 20 sunken or otherwise known unmarked graves. If you wish that I put one of the stones on your request, I will. But just know that may not be the exact location of your fellow.

Cheryl,
Thank you for for filling my photo requests on Adam and Nellie. Would you mind taking another shot of both looking down at the headstone so we can read the dates and names? I know your time is important to you and we do appreciate all you have done. I will resubmit requests so you can get credit for it.
Thank you,
Betty
