Ezra Bechtel
Thanks for your update. After sending my memo I did more extensive research. I totally agree we are looking at two separate Ezra Bechtels.

Ezra Bechtel
Truman, doing some research on Ezra Bechtel. The information I'm finding on Ancestry has some definite discrepancies between it and the info you have posted on Find-a-Grave. There are enough similarities to make me think it is the same person but I don't want to post bogus info. My Ezra was born Feb 23 1879, married a Minnie Hausuld. They did have children Harold and Edna but there were also additional children. They lived in Canada and then migrated to North Dakota. My information is gathered from Canadian birth, marriage and census records. Can you tell me where your information was gathered from so I can confirm we are looking at the same person?

Diane Peck
Kathryn C Campbell
Hi. My aunt, Kathryn "Kit" Campbell was actually born in 1909. Due to insistence from her only surviving sibling ,Grace Campbell Edstrom, who adamantly insisted Kit was born in 1911 and not wanting to upset Grace any more than she already was, (Grace's actual year of birth is 1911, and at this time Grace was 94 yrs of age and forgetful at times) We relented and let her put the incorrect year of birth for Kit on her headstone. Eventually we want to correct the headstone of Kathryn but have to figure out how to do that as we live in Oregon. Any suggestions on how to correct the headstone is also greatly appreciated. I will get corrected ASAP as soon as I find out how.
Thank you, Aunt Kit's grand niece, Diane Peck, Milwaukie, Oregon.

Agent Mom
Assumption in Charlotte
Hi Truman. Just a heads up that I am uploading photos for all headstones in Charlotte. I will link family as I go along. I am related to most of these people through the Dolans, Farrells, Crowleys and Duffys. I just finished St Pats in Delmar.
There are a few really old stones that are hard to read, but I will do my best to match them up. The rest I will have to rub next summer. Take care. Kate

Hi Truman,
I was wondering if I may copy your photo of Marjorie to my Ancestry tree. She is a cousin of mine. Thanks for your consideration.

Josephs, Juola, & Sarvie
I linked these three to their father even though his burial is unknown. I usually follow Find A Grave guideslines which is "Location of body unknown is used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition must be determined and updated within 30 days" Please try to determine final burial place as soon as possible.

Eric and Anna Johnson Memorials
Thank you for transferring these memorials to me.

I have received a response from church cemetery folks and they are now checking church records to see if they can provide more information for me.

Take Care.

RE: August and Mary Kurkela - Edits
Wow. This is great news.

I believe that those other Johnson's located in that vicinity are related to Eric and Anna Maria. I am going to take a look at the census records and contact the County to get the death certificates for Eric and Anna Maria.

I have contacted the Cemetery via phone and I am waiting to hear back regarding any other information that they can provide me.

Would you mind transferring these two (Eric and Anna Maria Johnson) memorials to me ? I would like to populate these with information as I uncover it. My father (he is 84 Yrs old) believes he has more content somewhere in a box in has basement that pertains to Eric and Anna Maria Johnson. There could possibly be pictures in that box as well.

RE: August and Mary Kurkela - Edits
You are correct !

I have been searching for many years for these two graves and I am so appreciative of what you have uncovered here. August and Mary are my Great Grandparents. I knew they were out there but I just could not locate them and you have !!!

I believe the Eric Johnson who is also in this cemetery is Mary's Father Great Great Grandfather. Eric's wife (my great great grandmother) was Mary or Marie Poyntari.

Have you run across any information on either them ?

Thanks again for your discovery, I sincerely appreciate it.

Lynette Browning Winterton

The maiden name for Robert Weddle's wife is Lass and her mother's maiden name is spelled Ibsen, not Ebsen. These are my husband's great grand parent's family.

Just curious, Where is it that the secondary information comes from when a findagrave contributor such as yourself has added additional information? Is the parentage on the headstone? Do you want me to send you a source document? Find A Grave Memorial# 116048691 is John Lass, father of Robert Weddle's wife. But I can send you other information if needed. Please let me know what you need. Thanks for all you do with It is invaluable to research.

GreenHills Stones Calling
Our Savior's Lutheran Church
Regarding my last message....
I just found the church on google earth. From the satellite image, & I can see that the cemetery is at the church. They are both at the location that I had called "down the road." The map I had been looking at showed the church in the wrong location. So my questions are cleared up now.

Best wishes,

Do you recall if the cemetery was at the church, or about 1/2 mile down the road? ...or two cemeteries; one at the church and another down the road?
