Thank you Anne. Bergen-op-Zoom Canadian War Cemetery is not far from my hometown. Love the picture of Pvt Lefurgey.

RE: Duplicates
I know I still have several duplicates, even though I thought I had cleaned them all up at one time. I wish the program could detect them somehow, but I don't think it can. Oh well, better 1, 2 or 3, than none. LOL

RE: Anabelle Lefurgey
Hi Anne,

I hadn't realized I'd created a duplicate of your memorial. My intention is always to add just the photo to a memorial already created. This happened to be one of the duplicates I overlooked and didn't catch. So I went ahead and deleted the memorial I created and added the photo to your memorial. No, she is not related to my family that I know of. I definitely like them consolidated whenever possible.

Take care.

There are three cemeteries
I just realized their is a third cemetery which are one and the same: They are
The following cemeteries are one and the same:
"Cape Traverse Free Church of Scotland Cemetery" location Cape Traverse, Prince County, Prince Edward Island Canada

and the other "Free church of Scotland Cemetery" location Cape Traverse
Prince County Prince Edward Island Canada

and the last "Cape Traverse United Church Cemetery" in Cape Traverse, Prince County, Prince Edward Island Canada

I have requested Find A Grave to combine all three into one
PS Thanks for the transfer

That would be fine. Where do we start?

RE: Allison Lefurgey
I am presuming you, or someone else, created the “Free Church of Scotland Cemetery” and somebody else created the other named cemetery labeled the Cape Traverse Free Church of Scotland Cemetery. I didn’t notice there were two of them listed until your email. The only way to solve this is to combine the two. I will handle this situation or if you prefer you can do it. For the record, your creation for this cemetery was correct and the other should not have listed “Cape Traverse” they should have just listed the cemetery name only, and not added the location that’s how I would have done it.

Now, I just returned from PEI this past month and found the grave of my 3rd great grandparents, Cornelious Neil Lefurgey and Elizabeth Betsy Matthews and on their grave stone were other family members. I traveled all over Canada and took over 250 pictures over a two week period of many of my ancestors and then began to place them on find grave and in my Ancestry trees. Now that you have called my attention to this problem, I do remember placing their gave stone on your memorial but for some strange reason I must have forgotten and then I started to place our other family members on find a grave and placed them in the other cemetery and noticed that my grandparents were not listed, forgetting about your memorials. I hope that helps you understand my actions, because I didn’t ask you for a transfer because it’s not important to me who manages the memorial as long as it is maintained within the family.

Let me know about letting Ancestry know about combining these tow named cemeteries into one called “The Free Church of Scotland”

Best regards,
Lenny Dodge

Have you thought about asking for a transfer of your relatives? I would be most happy to transfer any relatives I have of yours, so long as I am not related. Having family willing to claim and maintain their family's memorial is great. cheryl

Hi! In regards to your photo request, can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker? Please post this information to the memorial or send it to me.

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

Forest Home is a huge cemetery with well over 70,000 burials, and the information is needed in order to find someone there and take a photo of a grave. I go here regularly, and just since August I have found over 200 graves at Forest Home that had the location information provided. Thank you! Ace

I'm entering a Vitus John Koel 1906-1988 into Calvary in Spooner, Washburn CO. WI. He was born in Caledonia to John Peter Koel and Elizabeth (Schmitz) Koel. John died right after Vitus was born. Have you run across any info about him? I can't find a death date. His widow had Vitus and Carl to raise.

RE: Calvin Pratt
Hello Anne,
Nice to hear from you. Yes, Calvin's footstone was next to Rosetta and their son Alonzo's headstones. I know from Alonzo's will that he left money to pay for all three monuments. I checked my pictures to see if there was a panorama shot of the graves, but sorry to say, there's not.
Calvin was born March 2, 1784 at Framingham, Middlesex County, Mass.
Rosetta's maiden name was Campbell. I got that information from you :)
I was there in the Spring. That explains the green grass!
Thanks for the good work,

RE: Westgate / PRATT
I did not find Calvin's tombstone, however now that I know that Rosetta was his wife, I will stop to the cemetery and take a 2nd look near her tombstone. There are several stones near hers that are broken so perhaps I did not recognize.
You had me stumped with the Westgate name, so the Rosetta name was the only name like hers so I photographed hers only to find out when I returned home and looked it up to find that she was actually the one you were looking for

RE: Hannah Washborn
Glad you figured it out & have an answer. Are you related to Washburns? I know they were in the area. There was a prominent family in Brewster who's matriarch was Caroline Washburn Wells.

RE: Shelmadine
Hi Anne,

Bornt is my distant Uncle. Bornt and Benjamin (grandparent) Schelmendein Shelmadine are brothers. Benjamin came first in my direction then went to PA. Ben's son William is another grandfather that in buried in PA. The remainder of William's family came back to my area in NNY as the bear hunting war poor in PA. LOL true story.

I'm just trying to connect all the family again. Take a look at my Shelmidines/Shelmadines. Perhaps we can work together to connect more...
