Jonathon Hankins
Hello
Hi there,

My name is Jonathon Caleb Hankins and I am the great grandson of Nimrod Freeman Hankins. I'm just wondering if you happen to be a distant relative of mine or if you are just someone that likes to do this sort of thing. Either way would love to talk more with you about the Hankins family tree!

Regards

Jon

I have been adding information from the newspaper to several of the Find A Grave records. It is clear the writer of the articles and the towns people themselves were very proud of Springfield.

I understood the initial information provided was not be you, but felt you would like the information. I am pleased you find it useful.

It was a beautiful day and there was a lovely large Daddy legs spider that was partial to Alice's small stone. Your welcome

I know you have one more request. I have the one tall white buschbacher stone, but am unable to read it. It might be the one missing. Would you like that one posted?

You placed a photo of Georgianna's gravestone on her memorial, #65375354. Would you be so kind, post the same picture on her daughter's memorial, #167440280. Thank you!!

Marker note added as requested. Thanks for requesting a headstone photo and thanks to the person who went out to the cemetery to take it, even though none was found.
Take care, Pat

Hello! I am about to fulfill your photo request but unfortunately, it is a photo of the area, only. There is no headstone. This was confirmed by the office staff.

I am sorry this was not a more positive outcome. I am always disappointed when there is no marker.

Best regards,

B.J.

Sherrill -

Your offer to transfer the memorial to me is a lovely, generous offer. He was my husband's 4XGGU. Even so, I would not want you to transfer the memorial. You have written a lovely bio: you have much more information than I do and your style is much better than mine. You put so much effort into the memorial that I encourage you to keep it.

You added the information I requested and I really appreciate your taking the time to do so. I was trying to establish his sister, Nancy, as the daughter of James Cass / Cast. Most fortunately, someone had posted the Will of James Cass on ancestry.com, thus documenting the relationship. Whenever I find such a treasure, I try to pass it on to others in case they are trying to document the relationship for the purpose of DAR / SAR or for membership in any of the other such lineal organizations. I may create a memorial for James Cass with the Will even though it will be a "burial unknown".

Much to my chagrin, my husband has many more proven RW ancestors than I! James Cass was listed on the Revolutionary War Rolls, so it is another RW soldier in his line. In researching his line, I found a Harrison Payton in his family tree and then there are several in the DAR GRS.

Again, thank you for your generous offer. You are a wonderful steward who has honored this gentleman in such a respectful manner and his descendants surely appreciate your contribution!

Thank you for the transfer offer but I am not related and should probably let a family member take it over. Julia Johnson

You are very welcome. I firmly believe that those with unmarked graves should also get their pictures in Findagrave. I am pleased to do it.

Reekers' grave - Fairview Cemetery
Hello,
I went Oct 2nd and located Mabel and William Reekers' spot with the caretaker. There is no stone. I hadn't seen that you had claimed this - I had it on my list to do.

Older Fielding Hankins
I didn't find the 1789 through 1882 Mr. Hankins. Sorry. I found the younger one and mistook him for success. The Historical Society's cemetery directory doesn't list the older Hankins, only Fanny, Fielder, Inf., Juliann, Wesley and William F. Sorry I could help you.
