RE: Follow up
Thanks, Connie. I am not actually researching the Wortman line. Isabell Lowrey Wortman was the sister of my husbandís great, great grandfather. Isabell's marriage is the only connection that my husband has to the Wortman family. My husband is a male-line descendant, hence our last name Lowrey.

Thanks for the update, Connie. I appreciate your help and all the information that you are kind enough to share. Like you, I also hit a dead end with John and Sarah. Take care!

I just want to commend you on the beautiful bio that you wrote for William Logan Wortman's memorial page. You obviously spent a lot of time on it. It felt personal, yet informative. Great job!

Sorry I don't have any more info. to add. I do find it odd that Mrs. Drake's stone doesn't show a date of death. I will see if I can get back there but it is 75 miles, so I have to plan a good day to go etc.

RE: Mary A McDonald Wheatley # 55300377
The inscription says...

Mary A.
Wife of
H.S. Wheatley
Born
Apr 19, 1828
Died
Sept 15, 1887
Aged
59 ys 3 ms & 26 ds

I cannot read the bottom portion. It is most likely a bible passage.

Hello, I also took more photos oh Sarah's headstone. There is an infant listed but I was having a hard time reading it. I have more photos if you would like them. I'm going to see if I can play with the photo to make the writing appear.

Hello, I stopped today and looked for James Tinna's headstone. I found it and took more photos of it if you would like them. However, I was unable to read the inscription.

Hi Connie,
I would like to request use of your picture published on Patrick Smith. It's a virtual graveside I contributed to findagrave that you contributed the photo on at my request. I have no means to make it into your area and have no way of taking my own picture at the present time. If I could please get your approval I will copy it and use it for my own personal use. Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience. Be well and thank you again.

RE: Archie Roberts
Thank you for your help. I spoke to my mother and she said there was never a large headstone only a small marker. My other question is do they have any info on my mom's sister? same cemetery, Betty Jane Roberts I think these dates are correct. Born Jan 16, 1941 to April 10, 1941 age 2 1/2 mths. Born in Amador County, Ca. death may be listed as Sacramento, Ca. Mom says when you go in the gate she is to the right, what may be called the old cemetery. Parents are Lee Roberts & Vida Price. Thanks

RE: Wortman - Ellis Cemetery
It's not that far from our house so it is not a big deal. Just need to have my son-in-law or nephew to go with us as there are several multi-floral roses around and I don't want my husband who is 80 and fairly good health yet to be stumbling with the chainsaw or lobbers.

To my knowledge, no one has talked about cleaning it up. But that doesn't mean that it has been talked about.

Have got to go back to the cemetery again. Was windy and rather chilly when we were there. Also need to take some lobbers and chainsaw with us when we go back. So will see what I can find.
