John Wesley Whitton #84086168
Hi Jim, I am contacting you see if you might consider transferring John W (Wesley) Whitton to me. He is one of my lst cousins. My maiden name is Whitton. I have lots of info on the family and could link up quite a few more people. I would sure like to get this family connected. John Wesley Whitton has 10 siblings.

Thanks for all the work you do to preserve these records.

RE: Martha A Oliver Meador
Well Jim, I've revisited a Family Website that will be full of information on Martha Ann Oliver Meador's side (it does list Thompson Allen and Elizabeth Wooldridge buried in Olimphint Chapel Cemetery) but I couldn't see where it or if it lists Martha's Mother, 'Cassie' - it's a good place to look though - enjoy.

you may have already been on here- hopefully this is some new info for you-
Khim

RE: Martha A Oliver Meador
Hello Jim,
My apologies for the delay in this message. I have had a lot of confusion about Martha Ann Oliver Meador. I have very little information about her, and have tried and tried to verify what I have found with little or no success. I didn't even realize your message was here asking about her, and am so excited. She is my G-G Grandmother. Her daughter, Nannie Rebecca Meador Mason is my G Grandmother, and her daughter, Sudie Mae Mason Williams, is my Grandmother.

I show that Cornelia K "Cassie" Allen is Martha's Mother. I found this information off of Ancestry and also under Family Search. org it lists her as "Ludeshia "Cassie" K Allen b 10Sep1824 SC d 1909 and her father Thompson Allen( F671 group sheet) and her mother Elizabeth Wooldridge (F671 group sheet)
Neither reference lists a place of burial for her, although I think it would be in or near Sabiine CO TX. She shows to be born here and

The Ancestry sheet shows their Marriage date of 1838 in Milam/Sabine CO TX. I am still doing research with this information and will now def. let you know if I find anything more.
You may have already found your answers, since this message to me is old. Never the less, it's nice to meet distant 'family'.

Gone But Not Forgotten
Dearest Jim,

You always placed these words, "Gone but not forgotten," along with a bouquet of forget-me-nots, on each page of every precious relative you found for our common, extended family.

Thou Art Still Loved, Jimmy. Gone but not forgotten.

Warmly,
Debra Rodgers Blackmon

Jim,

Is your Ancestry tree Hurst & Thomas - Krisch & Roggenkamp & Others Family Tree - Texas Branch. You have my permission to use the photo of my great-grandparents. Your research is very good.

DNA has recently proved my relation to Reuben Burrus, father of Martin Howard via another decedent of Reuben Burrus. The family lines are likely back to the first settlers of the Jamestown Colony.

You might also be interested to know that Almond Lewis Sellers and Prudence Robbins are my maternal 3rd great-grandparents.

I have a photo of Pearl Buris-Mcwhirter, but that is all I have of her family.

Thanks for asking permission on the photos.

Regards
John Buris

RE: Re Ada Florence Wilson Lowrance Mem # 23436612
Good evening, Jim. Thank you so VERY much for the info on my great great grandmother. I havent gotten too terribly far back on that side of the family yet, and I cant even recall if the name is on my radar. Not before now, anyway. And yes, of course you may copy the pics if you would like. If you cant get them off of Findagrave, send me your email and I can email you with my scanned in copies. I am guessing, you are related to Ada / Thomas/Eliza ? I am sure I have a few more of Ada and her husband, if you need or want to see them. They may not be scanned in yet, but they can be. Once again, thank you. Carol

RE: Andrew Hurst & Wife Mem # 38744116
I'll certainly keep his name uppermost in my mind when I visit cemeteries in the Cottonwood area. Most of the photos I've posted are of Old Cottonwood, some of Pioneer as well. There were a lot of stones in Old Cottonwood that names have worn away and the stones are smooth, but next time I'm there I'll pay very close attention to the area where Andrew Hurst is buried and also rub some headstone with charcoal to see if I can draw any information out. It's possible he's near them. I'll also be aware of his name and perhaps he can be located.

You're very welcome Jim. I learned a lot from my visit to document Old Cottonwood Cemetery. Mainly to take appropriate tools to trim shrubs away from headstones and a brush to wipe away dirt and grass.
