I use Fulton history quite a bit when I can't find something on the library database, but I didn't think they would carry a Yonkers area paper. I thought it was mostly local. I will take a look there.

Yes, this sounds more like it. She is two years older than my grandfather and he is mentioned in the obit. Yurista vaguely sounds familiar to me. I will call my mom and see what she knows.
Thank you so much !

just letting you know, I received your message. Seems something happened after linking the family members together on the site. I certainly had her in the correct place to begin with. I may have to delete the entire thing and try again. Thanks for catching this.

Marilyn.....I called St. Marys Cem., Yonkers, NY to find out if Edward Lanigan is buried there....he was buried on Jun 12, 1958, Sec G, Plot #30. I created a memorial for him.

Thank you so much for the obit. I couldn't find one in my newspaper database. I think this is my great aunt, but I want to check with my mother before I am sure. If it is I think her brother is buried in Yonkers as well -- John, wife Susan. My grandfather came to southwestern Pa and they stayed in Yonkers so I don't know anything about them. Two other brothers returned to Europe.
Thank you again. I may get back to you about this memorial.

Hi Marilyn. I'm hoping you are the same person as "Marilynxxxx" on Ancestry. If so, I have left a message there for you with my email address. A. Millen's wife, Bridget, was my mother's aunt. My grandmother, Johanna, was Bridget's sister. I have information that is not on your tree at Ancestry and I'm guessing you have information on the family that I don't. I hope to hear from you. I walked St. Mary's Sec. Y last weekend and I found the stone for the DePalma family. I think you might have added them into the wrong cemetery by mistake (see your memorials 101946173, 101946100 & 101946045). I added them into St. Mary's with two new memorials (one already existed for Elisabeth). What do you think?

Thank you so much for your prompt response to my request for the transfer of the memorials for my uncle and aunt. I was at a family reunion over the weekend and I was demonstrating how you could find family graves on this site when I saw that you had added these two.
I appreciate all the hard work you've put into posting graves!

No, thank you. I live in Texas, and the Surles families in Dunn may be distant cousins but are not direct ancestors.

Hi Marilyn, Thank you very much for the transfer. She doesn't appear to be related. Horvath was Matilda's married named. She was from NY and her husband Louis was from CT.

I am attempting to photograph the entire Old St. Raymond's Cemetery. I've been working on this for the last 5 or 6 years. I don't think that I'm even half way done yet. I work near the cemetery. My own family is from Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens mostly.

|Rusty Tobin||RE: Lillian Grace Tobin|
My gr-grandfather, Michael Tobin, emigrated alone from Ireland and did not have any relatives in the Yonkers/ NYC area, nor were any of his children named Lillian. He had friends in Yonkers (Coopers) but no relatives. His children were orphaned and were never able to find any of their Tobin relatives elsewhere in the U.S. or Ireland.
Sorry I can not be of any help.

Hello, you transferred Geneva Williams to me without asking first if it was okay to do so. I do appreciate the gesture, but I am not a family member. I am just working on a tree for a good friend and she is in that tree. I have transferred her back to you. I specifically note on my profile not to transfer people to me as I am working on several family trees for friends.

|rbrunt||Jacob Brill, Oakland cemetery|
I just had a question about the pictures of the gravestone you added to Jacob Brill's memorial. I know you originally created it and then transferred it to me. Thanks again. This is sect. 1,plot 377. This plot has about 18 people in it who are all related to me including Jacob who is my 3rd gr.grandfather and my Mom. As you can see in the picture I attached to this memorial the only stones that are present that I've seen are for the Riker and Minnerly families. There are many members of the Brill family in this plot however I don't see any stones. You noted that you couldn't read the stone. Judging from your picture it looks like it's in the vicinity because of the road but not right where Leonard Riker's gravestone is. So I was just wondering if you shed some light on this stone for me.

FYI: The US SSDI reports the last residence of the person that they have recorded for that person and their death date. It does NOT report the place of death.

Don't know if I answered this question to you, not too familiar with Find a Grave. Just getting my feet wet.
Anyhoo, I don't really know much about the Tobin family but Lilian Grace is not a name I'm familiar with, however, as new information gets released, we might be able to connect the dots.
I'll try to remember this request from you and if I find something I will let you know.
