Infant Female Gilkey
I have just left Evergreen Cemetery. They have the stone for Walter Gilkey but not for the infant Female Gilkey. Mr. Manly is the caretaker of the Cemetery and I talked to him about the Gilkey family. As soon as they are 99.99 percent sure of where Baby Gilkey was laid to rest they will put a new stone. Please be patient a little longer it is a very old Cemetery that was used to bury the employees of the railroad as it was coming through Hillyard WA.
I will keep watch over this plot until it is fulfilled.

Ann O'Malley
Raymond R. Gilkey Jr.
Hi--I've been trying to add photos at Bella Vista Memorial Gardens to get it closer to 100% photographed. Both Norma S. and Raymond R. Gilkey Sr. have memorials and have pictures showing their markers. However, I was unable to locate Raymond R. Gilkey Jr's plot, and you maintain a Find-a-Grave memorial for him stating he is interred there. However, BVMG did a full audit on those interred there. Raymond R. Gilkey Jr. is not listed as being interred there. If it's so that he's affiliated with his parents' cemetery, that's fine, but if his cremains are with a family member, it should be clarified on his memorial. Thanx---

Mary Ann (Ellison)
Would you happen to know if Mary Ann (Ellison) Brown - Guilkey's death certificate listed her parents' names? I am chasing down this Mary Ann's aunt, Mary Ann (Ellison) Blankenship and was wondering if you may have any info on John Ellison (either one of them...son or father)?

James H Gilkey
I noticed on the memorial for James H Gilkey your message of "Looking for parents burial sites 2014." I was wondering who you show as his parents (esp his mother). I'm trying to do a little piecing on this branch, and it wasn't making sense to me.

Emeline Roberts Gilkey
Can you please give me your source for Emeline Roberts Gilkey's death date? : May 25, 1865

It is documented that her husband, Elliot Sheldon Gilkey who died in 1864, married Ellen J. Callahan on 20 Jul 1862 in Trumbull County, Ohio.

I think that Emeline died before Elliot's marriage to Ellen.

I have sent you a couple of private messages to your email address.

Cheers, Judy Churchill

Memorial# 74159817- Herbert Gilkey
Hello. Memorial# 74159817 is listed under the name Herbert Addison Gilkey when it is actually for Herbert Daniel Gilkey. Joseph Addison Gilkey (Memorial# 120716178) is Herbert Daniel's father and neither memorial links to the other. Fix?

If you need further documentation feel free to email or message me. Wife is great granddaughter of Herbert Daniel, 2nd great granddaughter of Joseph Addison. Also, any details of Herbert's death in Montana would be greatly appreciated.

Could I please get you to Edit the cemetery on 4 of your memorials.

They are in the wrong cemetery since the many Cemeteries were fixed by Find A Grave.
They will be doubles in New Cemetery.
I will send Edit to Find A Grave to merge them as one and no one will loose any thing they have put in here.

Yes, that is the town you have listed for Catherine Gilkey Crumley. I would just like to know what source or sources you have that she is really buried there. Is there a head stone or perhaps records from the cemetery or Quaker meetings?
Thank you for your help and reply. Sincerely, Aartje Crumley

Anthony Lewis
Emma Gilkey d 1906
I wonder if this Emma Gilkey is my wife's greataunt. The San Francisco Area California Funeral Home records 1850-1931 lists an Emma Gilkey with a maiden name of Hahn. She was born February 1883 in California (1900 census)and died young at 1 August 1906 (age 23). She had an older brother Emil Hahn (b. 1875) and a younger brother Otto H. (b. January 1879). The latter is my wife's grandfather. In 1916, when anti-German feeling was running high, he changed his name to Henry Ogden Hereford. If these Emmas are the same I can supply you with what I know of her ancestry. At any rate, thank you in advance for your courtesy.
