|Carol M.||Ridgelawn Cemetery|
If you will call the office at Ridgelawn and get the location of your ancestor (John Brown) grave I will try to get a photo for you. When I was there the woman in the office was very uncooperative and told me it wasn't her job to look those things up for me. If's a fairly large cemetery.
A fellow researchers is emailing me a map.

I believe this memorial has the wrong tombstone attached. This is the stone of her uncle.

Hi Shanley, I have an aunt buried in the Mt. Olivet cemetery on 111th St. in Worth, Illinois. This cemetery is much closer to Chicago than the one in Joliet. If you want to call them and see if she is there I would be happy to go and take the photo for you. There number is: 773-239-4422. Just let me know!

Checked today for this gravesite in Portsmouth, Ohio. There is no cemetery by the name of Portsmouth (according to the records in the state of Ohio) and in checking the local library and the city's cemetery (Greenlawn). Sorry I can not be of further help but thought you should know.

I can't add him as the father of Mary Elaine Francis Kerls because that is not my entry. You will have to go to her memorial and make a suggestion. Then Marie can add him.

I'm not positive on the name "Martha". Almost all the records do have Texana.
In the Texas Birth Index for Lo Eva Silcox b.22 Sep 1932, Montgomery Co, TX; the name of her mother is listed as Nancy Margaret Te Crawford.
I assume the Te is Texana and they just ran out of space in the Index.
It seems like I had Margaret listed before and someone corrected me and said it was Martha. I would not swear to that!
So it appears that her full maiden name would be Nancy Martha (Margaret?) Texana Crawford, but that she only went by Texana.

I did find a number of Francis's at New Chapel. In fact, I thought I had taken a photo of William's grave as well, but when I got home, it wasn't on the disk. I'll probably be back up there in the fall (when it's COOLER!) and I'll try to get him then.
Send us some cool Alaskan weather down Mississippi way!

They are in the Athens Cemetery, not the Athens City Cemetery also in Find A Grave as North Athens Cemetery (black). I took pictures and will enterthem when the memorials are corrected to reflect the correct cemetery.
