RE: Wilton
I've checked into Wilton "Dink" Smith's birthdate. I am puzzled. His death certificate lists his birthdate as August 6, 1873. His mother Maggie Mae Smith's death certificate lists her birthdate as 1883. I'm not sure what to do. I deleted Wilton's birth year for now until I find more information. Thanks for your attention to detail.

RE: Lorena Esta and Lurena Vesta twins?
I have a hard time following these when you talk about 1st removed and so on. I really had never heard that term until a few years ago. I just do 1st, 2nd 3rd, 4th and so on. Can you tell me how you are related to Hugh Peppen Hammack? He is my great grandfather and he was still living when I was married so I remember him very well.
The only other names I'm familiar with is Merridth Hammack and I was thinking he was Hugh's brother. I do believe I remember a Aunt Ollie. Very interesting! I have my Moms, grandmothers, and granddads papers. Birth cert., marriage lic., death certs, social security cards and etc.

I did some research on Fronna. Her headstone reads DOB 1900; records in ancestry show 1900, 1901 and 1902. So I am leaving it as it shows on the headstone.

Please take a look at her memorial, don't know if you know the family, but I found that she has another family of Nesters. Let me know what you think.

Tx Sondra.

oh, I also found her husband and sent an edit.

Request Obituary Copies
I appreciate the memorials you wrote for George Hunt (# 133218859), his ex wife Mildred (136076789) and their son Stan (133218859). You refer to their obituaries in your bios. I was hoping you would share a copy of these with me. I tried to obtain them online, but the links have expired. You can reach me on this website or my email address:

Matthew Combs
RE: Combs Tariff Cemetery
Thanks for the information. My great-grandfather's name was Daniel Boone Combs, and the dates of birth and death are close to his, but it is believed that he is buried in an unknown location in Harlan County, KY. I found this man while searching for my great-grandpa on FindAGrave, but it is not the same man, as my late great-aunt was present at the funeral and was sure that it was in Harlan County, KY.

I had honestly forgotten that I even submitted the photo request for this, but it is always good to get these headstones documented so further generations don't have the same issue as my family.

RE: Combs Tariff Cemetery
Thank you for the thought, anyway. Maybe next time? :)

I appreciate your efforts in photographing the cemetery. It's a pretty tough job when it's hot outside and the bugs are everywhere.
