|LadyGoshen||RE: more Spears|
I went to the Norwich Historical Society today and looked through the burial records (cemetery inventories) of all the Norwich cemeteries. There is no record of a Sylvanus/Sylvester. I also looked through the family files and found a folder for Chadwick. It appears that someone in the 1970s had written requesting information about Sylvanus/Sylvester but apart from the three request letters, there's nothing in the folder.
I've added in the missing Chadwick children that buried at Beaver Meadow based on the records and will continue to keep an eye out. Sorry!

|Karr||Montini Headstone Picture|
Thank You for the Montini headstone pictures added to our memorials. With you help, we were able to add the pictures to FAQ and the headstone gave additional information for our genealogical research. Your time has been much appreciated!

just thought I'd mention that I found Louisa Spear Smith at Beaver Meadow. Not sure how she fits in or if she's important to your research.

Have you seen the book "The descendants of George Spear who settled at Braintree"?
I'll try to give you a ring in the morning. Have to see how my schedule is once I get in to work--hopefully I can run out for a bit.

it appears to be on Fish Hill Road right near the intersection of Clover Hill Road. Sorry, I don't know more than that...

let me know--depending on what time you're up here, I could meet you there. I've added info to the memorials based on your note and will try to do additional research. Did you know there's a Chadwick cemetery in Randolph?

hi there. So I found Susan and Elmira--are these Susannah's daughters? You'll note that Susan's stone has been repaired and it's missing/buried significant info. There was a badly deteriorated headstone near these but it's past serving its purpose.
I have also found several headstones listing children without last names. I've noted the headstone that was next to each but was wondering if any of the names match up to the names you're looking for... it's very strange...and sad to have lost their family link.

yes! I found them--Spears is right next to the row of children. I'll upload them tonight and take the pressure off processing all the cemetery images... that's usually a winter/rainy day activity ;-)
Added by LadyGoshen on Sep 13, 2010 11:07 AM
sure--those areas aren't really in my immediate vicinity (1+hour away) but I'll add them to my "look out for" list ;-)
I was curious so I examined all the photos from Beaver Meadow (West Norwich cemetery)... I'm sad to report that there are no other Chadwick markers. With the exception of about 5 family plots, most of the burials appear to be chronological. What are the death dates? I can check and see if there are stone nubs... there were a few headstones that were illegible/deteriorated. sorry.

I went over to Beaver Meadow yesterday. It will take me a while to process the photos (apprx 200 burials) but I enter 3 Chadwicks today... children of G & C all of whom died within a short period of time. I also took a photo showing the large stone with 3 small (unmarked) stones to each side.
I'll let you know if I find more.

ah, yes... Beaver Meadow is on my list. It's fairly small so I can probably get to it in the next month.
I've just relocated from the lower Hudson valley to Norwich VT so am happy to help you with your project. Fingers crossed that everybody is there!!
Added by LadyGoshen on Sep 01, 2010 2:46 PM
I'm just starting out in the Upper Valley area but will add the Chadwicks to my "keep an eye out for" list. There are 3 other cemeteries in Norwich that I haven't gotten to... yet ;-)

Thank you so very much for all the photos of the Bentley markers in Corashire Cemetery. I'm curious of you saw any other Bentley graves when there? I didn't get to request all of them as I had exceded my weekly amount. I'm probably related to ALL the Bentley's buried there.
I truly appreciate your time to take them

Thank you very much for your quick response to my request. Curious, as there are only 3 graves listed, do you recall seeing any other Funk stones?
