RE: Armes/Brown
Mary was known by my Dad, and the rest of the family, affectionately as "Little Grandma". My grandfather is Donovan Joseph Brown, and Great-Grandfather is Manuel P. Armas.

RE: Smiths
You're welcome, sorry I wasn't completely successful.

Actually, the Dallas County transcription book only lists Laura, with her dates, and "w/Robert M" in a section at the end with four others that indicates they know she's there, but not listed in the correct sequence (by row). Not sure if they got that info from an actual marker, or perhaps some other source.

Both show on their death certificates that they should be there.

Hopefully, some day a marker will be found!

RE: Question
Hi Sharon,
Lloyd Smith is the son of Levi "Lee" & Dora (Hill) Smith who are buried in the Pilgrim Cemetery (Old Friends Cemetery), Pilgrim, Mo. near Everton, Mo. His grandfather and grandmother, William james & Sarrah Janeah (Cook) Smith are burried there as well. I have not been able to get back to the next generation, I only have recently been given a lead that William James Smith is the grandson of Levi Smith of Lawrence Co. Mo. This Levi Smith had two sets of 10 children and so it will take some investigating.

Benjamin Smith
I transferred Benjamin to you! I too believe family should be with family so if he is yours, even outside of Find A Grave guidelines he is yours and belongs to you! I am glad I can transfer to you and put him where he belongs!!

Have a great night!!

RE: Smith
I'm sorry, but I just photographed the cemetery. I only know what was contained in the cemetery. I am not a Smith descendant, so have not explored this man's family.

A suggestion. In the future, when you want to ask a question like that, it is best to do it as a SAC. To do that, click on the [edit] tab at the top right of the memorial. Use the first option, then the last option within that list. You can keep a copy of those messages for yourself too. This function includes a link to the memorial in question, so you don't have to remember to include it in your message. Enjoy. This is a great site.

Thank you, By the way, do you know of a Moses Beech Patten in that same cemetery? The headstone for him is right beside the others and he wasn't listed in that cemetery so I made a memorial for him from what I got from his headstone.

RE: Jesse and Bethany Weeks
Ovanda Weeks (1876-1931) married Isaac McDaniel Hembree (1867-1956). Isaac was married three times and had a total of twelve kids, nine with Ovanda. She had five daughters and four sons. I am the son of her youngest son. I have records of all of her kids and I even have some family photos of her and her brother Charley and sister Phoebe. I don't know if you use but I have assembled all the data I have there and I can share the link, or if you prefer we can keep messaging each other. I'm not working on family history too much until the holidays pass so it'll be a while before I ask for the Burbridge info, but I will certainly be asking. :-)

RE: Jesse and Bethany Weeks
My grandmother was Ovanda Weeks, daughter of Jesse and Bethany Weeks. My research of Bethany puts her as the daughter of Seth Boling (1824-1901) and Malinda Hattabaugh (1838-1920). I have a pretty good tree of their ancestors but I don't have any knowledge or stories of who they are. I would love to learn whatever you know. :-)

RE: Jesse and Bethany Weeks
The photo of Jesse Weeks's gravestone was mailed to me by a relative in Missouri so I don't have any firsthand knowledge of the grave.

I know that Jesse's stone reads:
"SIMPLY TO THY CROSS I CLING Jessie, hus. of Bethany Weeks, born Dec 22, 1840, died Dec 18, 1907"

There are some marks below that inscription, but I can't read it. It's likely a Biblical quote.

I do not know if Jesse and Bethany share a grave.

RE: Just a note
Yes, I will make the connections but I need more information. Please go to the memorial in question and click on the [edit] tab in the upper right corner of the memorial. Choose the first option. Then to connect them, I need their names and their numbers. Right now I a very busy. I am in Arkansas trying to find out who my great grandmother's parents were. I am visiting courthouses every day they are open for as many hours as I can stand. That leaves very little time for anything else. I will be in a better place in a month or so. Can we talk then?
