RE: Millsap
Hello, Louise - thank you for contacting me.

James Washington Millsap was, I believe, the son of Thomas William Millsaps and Sarah Ann Jane Beverage Millsap.

I have sent an edit request to link James Washington Millsap to his father.

The second correction was for his birthplace, which I believe should be Van Buren Co., Arkansas (VBC), rather than Van Buren, Crawford Co., Arkansas.

Both the Millsap(s) and the Beverage families lived in Van Buren Co. (VBC), Arkansas. James Washington Millsap appears in the 1870 Census in VBC, in Hartsugg Twp., and in the 1880 Census in Archey Valley Twp., VBC.

His wife's family also lived in VBC. She is first listed in the 1880 Census, living in Archey Valley Twp, VBC.

James Washington Millsap married Matilda Jane Henley 9 Sep 1891 in VBC.

While it is possible that James Washington Millsap was born in Van Buren, Crawford, Arkansas, the evidence tends to show that he was most probably born in Van Buren County, Arkansas.

I am working to edit and link all former residents of Van Buren County, Arkansas, on Find A Grave. I am only vaguely and distantly related to the Millsap(s) family, but I am working on the county as a whole.

If you have any further questions, please let me know. You can contact me at johnstewardtx@gmail.com.

Please note: You will not hurt my feelings if you disagree with me on anything. I'm just trying to help consolidate information for VBC folks, like my paternal grandmother.

Happy hunting!

Hello,

Does the Nichols Bible mention James Nichols and wife Nancy Jane Snider and Jacob Nichols and wife Zivulla Terrilla Snider? They are in my Snider line.

Anything you can tell me will be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I notice the Memorial of Littleton Jackson "LJ" Brooks, Jr. that you created. Was his sister Ida Brooks married to a man surnamed Nichols?

Thank you.
