No I don't live there, I seen it wasn't listed when I was searching other names in Ohio and simply added the cemetery.

Glad to be of help. Did you see my note on the burial site. I had to look it up when I got to the cemetary.
I had already accepted 20 sites and yours was the 21st, so I took the pictures and was able to put them in once I fufilled another request.

|pkarchs||RE: Green-Wood Cemetery; Sect. 58, Lot 5324|
Update: I spent quite a bit of time (and $$$) last year working with G-W Cemetery on three familial lots, one of which wasn't even in their online records and I had to "encourage" them to dig deeper, which they did, incredulously. The records for this lot, however, are voluminous and I decided to simply obtain all of them so as to miss nothing for the effort. I'm in the throws of another project currently but this spring I plan to enter the G-W information and I'm then happy to send you copies. Would be quite a scanning project (nearly 100 pages) but later this year, whether electronic or hard copy, I'll get them to you. Saw your edit requests and I didn't want you to invest in the same G-W records using their new pricey service.
Best, Philip in NYC

|dcvolts||Your Albert Thonen Photo Request|
I called the cemetery and they told me Albert Thonen was moved in 1966 to nearby cemetery Chapel of the Light. So you need to change his memorial cemetery location and resubmit the photo request.

Thanks for the update. When I visited the plot in 2010, I expected to see only "Gedney" gravestones as I understood it to be a Gedney family plot - and of course found none. Not until I found the marriage cert for John L. Gedney (31 May 1852) this summer did I learn of the Lingham surname for his wife, Cornelia, both my relations. Green-Wood data had her father, James Lingham, in another plot until recently. . . . . and the Gedney stones once there have been removed.
I took the time this summer to research all with G-W and to upload to F-A-G all interments/relations for Sect. 58, Lot 5324 so that others are not similarly confused when they visit.
Appreciatively, Philip in NYC

Is memorial # 41567455 the 2nd husband of memorial # 107893037 ? I noticed you had left a flower on the former, so thought you might know if they should be linked. Thank you!

|Suz Lew||William Ulshafer|
William is safe with you … better than sending him to my generic Find A Grave account … I'd rather send a memorial to someone who knows or cares, related or not. My guidelines are … as long as you aren't a "GUIDELINE" disciple, then your relationship doesn't matter.
Granted I get more suggestions and requests for Olive Lawn memorials than any other cemetery I've walked. I just can deal with 3,000 extra names burying my family.
I want to be able to edit and update my family memorials and my volunteers number about 3,000 of the 3,700 I've created. I think family is only about 900 names … and I've lost track of who I've put in my virtual cemetery for just family and who I missed … if I transfer all my volunteer ones, I might be able to tackle the links and bio more efficiently.
Honoring those who have gone before.

Are the Ulshafer family? I'm downsizing my memorials for just people in my family tree.
Would you be interested in William's memorial?

|Mark Crawford||RE: Houser Headstones|
From what i have on my line of Crawfords back to England would be sketchy, most of that has just be given to me thru net and I have not validated any as of yet and normally will not pass it on as factual.
I have came across a few Crawfords in the local area cemeteries (may have photos of markers in my files) and am always asked if I am related to the local lines which I have no knowledge of as of present time.

|Mark Crawford||RE: Houser Headstones|
Having been searching family history for a number of years now, I can honestly say if we follow are line back far enough we will eventually find a link. I was originally from Fostoria, Ohio, pretty much grew up in Riverside, Ca, first direct line of my Crawfords to be in Ca to my knowledge. Grandfather and children from same general area (Fostoria), great grand father and 3 brothers were born in Brown County (Eastern), Ohio all arond 1825 with their parents being born around 1800 in the Bath Virginia area.
For the Houser name by chance I do know there is an established line in this area but do not researh the name. I had started thru some of the local cemeteries photographing all I can when weather permits, to much rain and I do mise So Cal. Most are not posted as of yet but plan to post all little by little as time permits. My personal files are indexed by name, dates, and cemetery and I do try to watch the photo requests, but do feel free to ask.

|Betty Miller Arford||Myrtle's parents|
Do you want to link Myrtle to her parents. Henry Albert Miller and Julia Ermina Wade Miller? I just looked at hers and noticed her parents were not listed. Do we know where Margaret and Art Landon are? I haven't been able to find them on find a grave. You have done a nice job on hers.

Hope all is well with you. Hope to see you when you come up this way again.
