camp family
FYI.....I found a mystery yesterday. Searching in Morton chapel in Etowah Co. AL I found the other George Washington Camp. Wife is Martha McCaghren(? the last name spelling). He was not noted on find a grave. You have more of the Camp family than I do if you want his memorial let me know. Their son John married a Mary Ida Cornelius. I was constantly confusing the 2 George's up since their dob are only 10 years apart.

James G. Norton
My aunt talked to her great aunt Clyde who told her that she remembered the day they told her mother (Sallie Norton) that her father had died. They sent someone to tell her after they had already buried him over in Georgia because they didn't think the family from Alabama would make it in time.

James G. Norton
Hello, James G. Norton is incorrectly listed as being buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Berlin, Cullman, AL. It's unknown where he was buried, but it is somewhere in either Carroll or Douglas County in Georgia. We suspect he is buried in a different Mount Carmel Cemetery located in Douglas County, but again it's unconfirmed. He never lived in Alabama even though his wife and daughter are buried here. Thanks!

Joe Fox

Sorry for the long delay in responding to your message. Joe Fox was my great grandfather. He is buried in Friendship cemetery next to his wife "Georgia Childers Fox" and his daughter "Eula Brown." They are buried in a cluster of Foxes, but not on the back side of the cemetery. If you enter the cemetery from the entrance that is located right in front of the church parking lot and the cemetery is on your right, they are buried on the right in the curve before you go to the back of the cemetery. They have white marble spread across the grave.

John Hawkins born 1680 Eng
I read you wondered why the will was not settled until 1740.
I have his death listed as 7 Oct 1740 Essex King William County Va. I will not say I know that is true but I found that information on others data bases. If you have time give it a check.
Thanks for the time you spend doing this work.

Krumholz Articles
Check out Mrs. Krumholz - you will probably want to re-arrange the photos. I found a lot more on this - the story isa little different than what you heard. Maybe it got enhanced over the years.

Thank you - I will. Miss having it, but it went up a lot and I am on a fixed income. I just use it to help others, but love doing it. Thank you again - that is very sweet of you.

I could not find an obituary for her on 8/5/1907 or 8/7/1907 - There were Hollywood obits on those two dates. You would have to access The Atlanta Constitution by microfilm or Fold3 - which I do not have anymore due to cost. It has the entire paper on it so you can read every page, not just obituaries. Sorry I could not help more. Just send me an Edit if you wish to maintain her page.

RE: Sarah Davis - Hollywood Cemetery
Reggie, I go over there all the time by myself and have never been bothered. It is a "less than nice neighborhood", though - just be careful. If you will go to, then go to other, you will see a Hollywood map - James Stephens has placed every grave that has a marker on there, so you can find the exact location (or close). I took the pictures, but that was a few years back and I could not get there without some reference again. It is like a jungle in places as they have allowed it to grow up. A portion around the edges is mowed. The cemetery covers 3 huge corners and a tiered section of six wide rows.

Sarah Davis - Hollywood Cemetery
Hi, I have transferred her page to you and am happy for you to maintain it. I am hoping you will add her full name and link her to her family. I have worked long and hard on Hollywood for over 12 years now. I like to see a family member that is interested and willing to add more information and perhaps pictures, if you have any.

Reggie, I do not have Andrew in my database. He does not show up on any of the census during that time frame. He is not listed as a child under Jeremiah Davis family. I will do more research and see if I can find any info on him.

Adam Boyd
4th AL Cavalry Co G addition
Reggie, is it possible for you to add my GGG grandad to the 4th AL Cav Co G virtual library? His name was Capt George W Butler and he is burried in Haney's Chapel. He was a member of the 4th Alabama Calvary (Russell), Company G, CSA.

I am very proud of my GGG grandad's service and would be honored if you included him.

JT Martin
Hey Reggie, I have found this gentleman and his wife at Memory Hill in Albertville. Best I can tell this would be George Washington Martin's(from Rock Springs who married Lucinda Hughes) grandson, through their son Ollie H. Trying to complete his memorial. Not for sure that the wife is dead.... her name would be Vivian Martin born in 1930. There are no death dates for her.
Thanks for your time and help.

Lizzie Falls Reeves
Reggie, I was trying to link Benjamin Fall's children to him and noticed that you had put a photo on Lizzie Reeves' memorial (39464915). The woman in that photo is not Lizzie Reeves, it is her stepmother Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzie" Estes Falls. Lizzie Reeves' mother Senna Falls, her father Benjamin and her stepmother Sarah Eliz. are all buried in Winston Co, AL. at Williams Cemetery. Thank you e-mailing the pictures to me. I am trying to find out who the people are in the "Estes Family" photo.

This stone I found today. It has been a puzzle most of the day. I finally figured it out, it says M Austin for Millie Austin. Thanks to the dates you have on her memorial. This stone I left uncovered. It is toward the back corner of the cemetery. Names around are W. McDerment, Chella Young, Burner and HM Duvall(these stones are small and hard to read).
