RE: Everett Nunn Jr
Thank you! I hope so also, the cemetery is in bad shape. It is such a shame but I am glad we could preserve what we could.

McDonalds - Ridley Hill
I am a volunteer photographer for Find A Grave and just finished documenting Ridley Hill. I am assuming you added George and Emma McDonald from records as their date of births do not match the stones. I had added them but I went back and deleted mine. I wanted to tell you that I have added a lot more McDonalds to Ridley Hill in Madison, MS as I see your family includes McDonalds. If I can assist in any way, please let me know.

Vince,
I've been looking for information on these gg grandparents. thank for posting dates of birth and death. do you by chance have death certificates? are they at Winston County? I haven't found them in Jackson. would you share documents you have on them? and on Calvin Hunt, who I believe was Harry's uncle.

RE: Alexander Cemetery
It is very near the Oktibbeha county line about half a mile east of Hwy 25 off of Curtis Hammill Road. We sent the GPS coordinates to Find A Grave but it probably take a few days for them to enter it.

Alexander Cemetery
Hi there, we wanted to let you know that we found Alexander Cemetery in Winston Co. today and have uploaded all the photos we took. There are several funeral markers and stones we could not make out but added them as Unknown. If you know anyone in this cemetery or anyone who knows who may be buried here let us know.......pam and teresa

RE: Mt Sinai
That's what we thought about Mt. Sinai but we haven't had any luck getting Find A Grave to delete the Macedonia Cemetery in Winston that has no memorials. Or even combining it with Mt. Sinai.
Haven't heard of Forest Hill or Eiland Cemetery.
Sorry.

Thanks for your help.

Mt Sinai
Vince,
When Pam & I did Mt Sinai there were a few memorials that you had added that were across the road from the church. So we put everyone on both sides of Hwy 397 in Mt Sinai. According to the topo map the cemetery across the road from the church is labeled as Macedonia Cemetery. Macedonia Cemetery is on Find A Grave with no entries. I wonder if we should put the memorials that are across the road from the church into Macedonia Cemetery? What do you think?
Thanks,
Teresa

RE: Ruff Cemetery
thanks
you can add find a grave memorials for others buried there even if their grave is unmarked. I have lots of pictures of graves at Ruff cemetery that are unreadable or nothing written. and I'm trying to find more about great grandparents who I think are buried there - based on an elderly man's recollection. Lewis Walker (abt 1860 to sometime between 1935-1949) and Susie Johnson (abt 1861 to 1920s)

RE: Old Cannie M.B. Cemetery
Well, from what I understand there is an Oak Grove #1 an Oak Grove #2 and then this abandoned one that we named Cannie but are trying to get it changed to OLD Oak Grove #2 so there are actually 3 in all..............I tried to find an obit for Janie Triplett who died in 1970 to make sure what the name of the cemetery actually is for sure, with no luck.........

Old Cannie M.B. Cemetery
Vince, we wanted to let you know that with the help of a man named David Holder we have located a number of cemeteries both black and white in Winston Co. One of them you may not have heard of, we listed it on F.A.G. as Old Cannie but have since then found out it may be Oak Grove #2. It has a number of people buried there. Some with stones and some with unreadable FHM's........The latest one buried there is a Janie Triplett who died in 1970 which really surprised us given how it is in the middle of the woods and very grown up.....anyway, we thought you might want to take a look at the people listed there and see if you know of any of them or their families. Anything you can add or correct will be appreciated.......God Bless, pam and teresa

RE: Lovorn Cemetery
That sounds great! I'm sure I am not telling you anything you don't already know but it is really in a mess. Trees are down everywhere, in fact we found A.M. Foster's stone under a tree and it took a lot of elbow grease and determination to dig it out.......there is no telling how many more are buried under fallen trees. There are at least 7 that are listed on F.A.G. that we could not find stones for but there were more than several native stones marking graves and some covered in stones. I would love to be able to have everyone who is buried there be accounted for but that may be impossible..........pam and teresa

New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery
Hi Vince,

The New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery is located in Macon. It is a short distance south of Highway 21 on Fairyhill Road. You can walk from Fairyhill to the church/cemetery in about 15 minutes. I suggest asking someone locally for more specific directions if you are unable to locate it. I hope this info is helpful to you.

RE: Clayton Nunn
Youíre welcome, Vince. I noticed that the memorials for Clayton and his wife are not linked.

Thatís a hard section of the cemetery to walk because of its steep terrain, but I have some very special friends buried there. I enjoy the memories and the visit.

RE: Memorial Park Cemetery
You are very welcome.............It is VERY hard to get anyone interested in cemeteries at all much less abandoned and forgotten ones..........We have one in our community that my father in law took care of for years. He put a fence around it and stone telling the name of it and fixed the broken stones in it...........He passed away in 1999 and my husband was suppose to take over caring for it.........haha........he hasn't even been back over there. Teresa and I went last winter to photograph it, thinking like you that it would be easier ........NOT.........There were about a million virgin thorns, stickers, briars, what ever you want to call them.........and I swear they were alive and attacked us......We got the photos but we also have "war wounds" to show for it. We found one in Winston Co. called "Lindsey" cemetery....it too was a mass of man eating or in this case woman eating thorns...........we didn't get past the gate..........
