High Plains
Thelma & Frank Wedow

I think I have the information on their memorials correct as you sent it, but I have transferred the memorials to you for your care. Then you can make any necessary "corrections" to my edits.

Best wishes,
High Plains :)

RE: David Hacker Smith
You're quite welcome. David Hacker Smith is my first cousin 4x removed. I'm a descendant of the Hacker family, and I visited the Morrison/Old Hacker Cemetery on Memorial Day weekend. It was quite an experience visiting my fourth great grandfather and his family for the first time.

Thank you for answering and I can see the spot that puts you in. Oh, dear, would the rule, the earliest one on Findagrave, give you the right to delete the later one? Or maybe sending an email to the editor of Findagrave and ask their help would take care of it.
It would be interesting to know the outcome so if it happens to me, I will know what to do. So far, I guess I have been lucky. I have many memorials that I manage, some have been transferred to me by request and some just voluntarily when I asked for info to be added.
Again, I want to say, thank you for everything you have done on Findagrave to keep it a wonderful free place for all to view.

Hi Vicky,
Marriage date has been changed to 1755. One of my sources had a typo of 1775 as well and I copied it without correcting it. Thanks so much for catching my error!!

RE: David Brown

I have been out to that cemetery many times. I actually go out there several times a year to clean up brush, mow, and clean the stones. I just happened to know that David Brown was not buried there and by the bio that you put on his memorial page I knew that it was the wrong cemetery. If you need anything out this way though, please let me know.

David Brown

I think that you may have meant to add David E. Brown to the Auburn Community Cemetery in Ritchie WV, not in Montgomery County, VA. I surveyed the whole cemetery here and there is no one by that name.

Their names do sound familiar to me. Seems like I talked to one of them on a message board a few years ago maybe.

You are very welcome! They are my 3rd great-grandparents. I see that you are also looking for a photo for the grave of David Wallace Sleeth, Sr. in the Farnsworth Cemetery. I visited Farnsworth this past summer looking for his grave since he is my 5th great-grandfather and couldn't find it. There are many old graves there and several unfortunately were unreadable.

Thanks for the additional information on Olive Davis Memorial. I appreciate it. I put her parents as Jacob & Jemima. I checked the birth records and that is what it said. Sometimes people on ancestery don't check facts close enough. So I agree that that is her parents.
Thanks again Barbara

RE: Rhoanna (Davis) McWhorter
Hi Vicky, I will transfer my posting to you since she is in your family. The way I usually handle double stones is to mark one as a cenotaph and add a note giving the other posting's ID#.
I have also added any other info that I had for Rohanna/Roanna/
