C Proctor
Cold Friday Cemetery, Harrison County
Dear Barbara,
My name is Cheryl Proctor. I am contacting you because you have posted at least two memorials in Cold Friday Cemetery. It is with deep regret I report that Cold Friday Cemetery and Greenbrier Cemetery have been seriously vandalized. This was discovered Thursday night and I have been to those cemeteries yesterday with Sean Engleman of the Harrison County Cemetery Restoration Team.

There will be an ongoing investigation of the malicious acts of heavy vandalism. If you have any pictures of any of the stones, the cemeteries at any time period, etc. prior to what has happened, I hope you will send those images by e-mail to me. This will aid in the investigation (and hopefully the restoration of these cemeteries).

Thanks for your help.

Presbyterian Church, Back of
Then may I suggest that you change the name of the cemetery that you called "Back of the Presbyterian Church..." to something that works more intuitively in the F-G search engine such as "Presbyterian Church of Hemptead, Back of." For the search engine only seems to search the first word or possibly first 2 words. This is why when you put "Presbyterian Church" in the cemetery search engine and select Nassau County NY, nothing comes up. The search engine is looking for the word "back" rather than "Presbyterian" or Hempstead. But it is still highly unlikely that most searchers would know to put such a non-obvious word as "back" into the cemetery search engine.

RE: 2nd request--James & Bennie Gallagher
I'm not related to them. I'm just one of many F-A-G volunteers trying to help make research easier for Geneology searchers. I added the pictures so you could see that their graves are actually at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas and not at Shannon Rose Hill. So would you please go ahead and change their burial location so their relatives can see their actual resting place.

Thanks
Dorcas

Wm Everitt, Presbyterian Church
Thanks for the transfer of William Everitt.

May I suggest that you change the name of the cemetery that you called "Back of the Presbyterian Church..." to something that works more intuitively in the F-G search engine. Perhaps "Presbyterian Church of Hemptead, Defunct" For when you put "Presbyterian Church" in the cemetery search engine and select Nassau County NY, it does not come up, and it is highly unlikely that most searchers would know to put such a non-obvious word as "back" into the cemetery search engine. And it is the case that your cemetery will not come up unless you put the word "back"first in the search engine. Researchers are likely to find sources indicating burial in the Hempstead Presbyterian churchyard and will likely put "Presbyterian" in the cemetery search and not find what they are looking for.

RE: 2nd request--James & Bennie Gallagher
You're right about his death certificate but that info is wrong. I went ahead and added the pictures of their markers that took at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth. I also sent you an edit request on the plot location, so would you please change the cemetery from Shannon Rosehill to Greenwood.

Thanks
Dorcas

Loeslin
I transferred George, Minna and Phillipina. Please make sure to do what you need to do to get Phillipina in the correct cemetery. She is NOT at Calvary. Maybe transfer the info you have at Calvary to Good Hope and delete the memorial at Calvary.

2nd request--James & Bennie Gallagher
Hi Barbara,
I would like to know where you got the info that James Edward Gallagher # 149712641 and his wife Bennie Murray Gallagher #149712823 were buried at Shannon Rose Hill cemetery here in Ft Worth Tx. I am in the process of adding memorials to Greenwood Memorial Park(also in Ft. Worth) and I have taken pictures of their headstones at Greenwood.
Could you possibly change their burial location to Greenwood. I really don't want to add a 2nd memorial for each of them unless I have to. Please let me know.

Thanks
Dorcas

Would you mind transferring Samuel and Martha Wright (141057457, 141057485; Back of Presbyterian Church Hempstead) to me 48224322? I would like to add a little bio. (They may be direct ancestors). Also could you transfer William Everitt ?141052640. Both of his sons married ancestors of mine so I would like to add some bio (taken from his will).

Thanks

"Denton Green" Cem=Old Town Burying Ground
"Denton Green" Cemetery is the same as "Old Town Burying Ground" of Hempstead (sometimes also called Fulton Cemetery because of location. That they are the same is clear from the posted on both in FindaGrave (sign about the space not being a recreational park because of buried gravestones). Also if you do a little web research you will find that they are the same (I can't post those websites due to FindaGrave policy). Right now in your introduction to the "Back of the Presbyterian Church" you have them as two different cemeteries.

Many thanks for your kind comments... I'm just happy that the posting was of use...

If you look on my profile at the 'virtual cemeteries' list, there is one for "Halifax W1155"
which lists the casualties of the crash, all of whom are on f-a-g, all but one with headstone photo's.

The survivor of the crash, P/O Street, is also listed in it as he was killed only a month later over Germany. His 'page' has a photo of the man himself.

Best regards
Mike

I've added a couple of photo's of his grave monument to the page that you created for him.
Sadly the monument is missing a top section but the inscriptions on the base are quite intact. There is a dedication to his first wife Merielina who died in London. I have added a Merielina age for her under Brompton Cemetery and linked the two.
If you would like the page for Merielina transferring over to you, please let me know.
Regards
Mike. (no family connection)

Barbara, thank you for the information about Martha. I like when people can offer more info for the memorials and I have added it to her page. Is Martha a part of your family? I would gladly transfer her memorial to you if you want. Just let me know. Thank you again!

Leaca Moerland
Gingrich family
Hi,

I have a question for you about the Gingrich family. My 2x great-grandmother is Mary Ellen Gingrich of St. Clair County, Michigan, but I have been unable to locate her parents. Do you think they might be Josiah and Eliza Gingrich?

Mary Ellen was born in 1867 in St. Clair, which fits with the time frame for their other children. She married George Willey in 1886.

I think I'm on the right track, but I would appreciate your opinion or any information you might have. You can email me at lmoerland@gmail.com.

Joseph D. Miles
Barbara,

I am doing 2 memorials in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, KY for a Ruth Miles and the baby of Ruth & Joseph D. Miles. Ruth died 3 Mar 1919 and the child died the same day. I am trying to determine if the Joseph D. Miles whom you have a memorial for was married first to Ruth. I would like to link them if I can find some positive proof. The baby's death certificate has his parents as Joseph D. Miles & Ruth C. Mossbarger. If you know of any evidence regarding this, I would appreciate it!

Jayne
