I love getting edits of all kinds, but especially maiden names.
Added by Anna on May 28, 2015 2:14 PM
Thanks for the edits. I do have an O' but it's O'Quinn, not O'Neal, so not related. Have you ever gone through all of Findagrave to find Oneals, or O' (space)Neal, or any other irregularity you can think of, that is, misspelled O'Neals that won't show up in a search? O'neal needs to be fixed, as well as O'NEAL, of course. It's a worthwhile thing to look into, especially if there's s photo of the stone to check.

|Dave Mills||RE: gretta & charles|
Thank you for for transfer, Gretta is not a relative, she just married one of my cousins.
I thank you for your action in helping to improve the accuracy. When I find such good cooperation, transfers become less important. I inherited a family genealogy in 1983 and have been researching and expanding the information.
My primary goal is to try to link all the families from my records.
Thanks again e

|James R. Dangel||Gilpatricks|
Thank you for transferring my family graves to me.
I will still have to learn how to manage them but maybe once it is all done nothing will be required.
I have not looked for them but know of two friends of the family that are buried nearby to Gilpatricks that you could transfer if you liked. I might even post copies of the Russian deeds for their property that my family purchased. The Larianofs. They did not have descendants that I know of.

Find A Grave Memorial# 104225954
I did some research on them a while back and could not find the Russian records. They had family in the 8-plex apartment building now two separate parking lots and our family had four of the Russian America company deeds. I pursuaded the last owner to donate the deeds my mom should have done to the Historical Society.

Are you still there and do you have to approve of changes and corrections? I have submitted links and changes and they are held up and not being processed.

|Gary Nault||RE: do u want a transfer?|
I'm a graver that is part of a group that photographs cemeteries. When I post a photo of a marker to a memorial site, I try to fill in or correct any information that's currently there. So no I don't need a transfer. Thanks for giving to Find A Grave.

Looking at it wrong, according
to obit, he died Mar 1, 1943,
instead of Mar 3, unless you
have something else. If so,
I'll change my info. Joyce

I am a decendant of John Edward Strobel and his wife Wilhelmina. I saw your photo of Leola and William Strobel (Find A Grave Memorial# 26985749) and was wondering if you have a photo of their parents or other siblings, I have one of their sister Caroline but that is all.

|Marie Cantlin||Elizabeth Ciesielski's Grave|
Do you know Jackie Davis, who created the erroneous memorial page for Elizabeth Ciesielski at Oak Ridge Cem in Madison, FL ??
She has not answered my emails to her offering to give her Elizabeth's obituary which supports the body being shipped back to Niagra Falls, NY, for burial. That's the second source showing that Elizabeth is NOT buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery. I realize she is just a beginner using Find A Grave, but I also offered to help her delete the memorial page if she DIDN'T know how to do it. There is a right and a wrong way to do things in genealogy and she doesn't seem to know how to do it the right way.
Do you have any suggestions about how to deal with her ??
Added by Marie Cantlin on Apr 05, 2013 10:50 AM
Looks like Erie Co., NY, and specifically the city of Buffalo will also be a target for your genealogical research.

|Marie Cantlin||RE: Oak Ridge Cemetery, Madison, FL|
Check the death date and then check the burial date. No way she was ever NEAR Oak Ridge Cem, much less buried in it !! Find where her parents are buried in Niagra Co., NY, and you will find her grave. Jackie Davis has no proof for creating that Memorial Page for Elizabeth at Oak Ridge Cem...she said she was simply told that Elizabeth was buried at Oak Ridge. That isn't the way FindAGrave works. The appropriate way to document where Elizabeth is buried is TO MAKE A NOTATION ON HER HUSBAND'S PAGE THAT SHE WAS TAKE BACK TO NIAGRA FALLS,NY, FOR BURIAL. A funeral home in Niagra Falls had to handle burying her. I would investigate further by contacing each of the funeral homes in business in 1938 up there.
