See the picture I posted to Clara (who married my great uncle) - I think the woman on the right is Cinderella, mother of Clara. Let me know if you want it posted to her. Hilda

Is Wilma inscribed on the gravestone of Eaveret East? Thanks, Cathy

RE: Eaveret Benton East
Hi, Marsha
Thank you for responding. I am very glad to hear that Wilma is buried next to her husband. My husband, David A. East, he thought that you look like family from Caruthers CA. There is a gap between Shadrach M. East and Eaverett East that I am unable to get past. It would be great blessing as we love family history! My email is cathyeast01@gmail.com. Have you heard of a Native American lineage on a maternal side. I think some say it is Janie Clementine East. Thanks, again! Cathy

Eaveret Benton East
Hi, Marsha
I am having a hard time finding Eaveret's spouse, Wima Inez Hill East. She died in 1988 and should be buried alongside Eaveret's grave. I was wondering if you have any information on her burial site. Also, we have many spellings for Eaveret's name - Evert, Everett. Eaveret is buried at Mountain View in Fresno County CA. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your help. Relationship to Eaveret is grandson, David Anthony East. I am researching in his behalf.

Is Ark Cemetery the same as Vickers? It seems to be in the same location.

RE: Mount Olive Photo Request
Hi,

Just wanted to let you know that I have gone to the cemetery twice now but with the snow that we have been having (winter decided to make it's presence after I stated that I would be going there, go figure, lol) many of the flushed stones (on the ground) are still buried in the snow and now with it melting from the rain, in standing water. I've been photographing what stand up headstones I can find in the sections but the snow has been pretty deep in some sections (we have had 18" in the past 2 weeks in Chicago alone) which has been making the search a bit harder. I will attempt another trip this coming weekend if it does not rain and the next few weekends to see if I can find your family for you. I just wanted to give you an update and that I have not given up on the request.

I'm assuming that Gustav is buried near one of the others as well? I see you have a request for him too.

Mount Olive Photo Request
Hi. I will be going to Mount Olive cemetery over the next 3 or 4 weeks (weather permitting) to take photos of my relatives grave sites and I saw you had a request(s). If you would call the cemetery office (number on the front page of the cemetery page) and get the location of the burial, I will try to get the photo request for you while I am there. Just add it to your memorial in the plot section. They are very helpful at the office. Kathy

Anna Chandler
Mary Shock (wife of Uriah)
Marsha,

I just posted info on the wrong Mary Shock (actually the daughter inlaw of the one you are looking for. Both Uriah C and Mary Shock are buried in the Pickens Cemetery - I've read that entire cemetery and have both names in my records so I know there are indeed burial markers for them.

My father lives in Pickens and I visit often. I will do my best to get photos of the tombstones that you've requested.

If I had researched a bit more BEFORE I posted the message, I would have realized that the Mary DuPoy Shock Zickefoose was the wrong Mary. Mary Zickefoose (as I knew her) was an amazing woman. She lived a very long life and I have yet to meet anyone who didn't love her.

Mary Shock
I emailed you earlier but have a feeling it didn't go through. Mary Shock isn't buried at Greenlawn. I went to the library to do some research and she's buried in Pickens Cemetery in Pickens, West Virginia, presumably with her husband. If you'd like a copy of her obituary and his death certificate, let me know.

Hello! I do find record of Elsie being buried in Dona Ana county community cemetery. However I find no record of any marker. I believe it is an unmarked plot, however I will check into it more. Best wishes, Diana.

It was my pleasure. Gloomy sky today, so not much contrast. If you have been to the site, you know the lovely statue is nearby. Glad you are happy. Best, cb.
