I just was looking at my king genealogy and realized that all my find a grave king papers were contributed by you and looked for a possible connection. I believe your great grandmother Emma and my great grandfather Edward F were siblings. Right? Small world.

My father is Mike - he died July 20. His father was Edward W King and his father was Edward F King whose father and mother were William and Christena King who are buried in Thebes Cemetery. Are you a friend or relative?

RE: location of grave
Yes Edward and Grace are my grandparents. I've already talked to the village clerk about this and she said they are trying to better arrange the records. My father died in July and was cremated as were his wishes and he wanted them scattered. I just wanted a marker placed near his parents as a memorial. Well thanks for getting back to me so quickly and for volunteering your time to do this very important work. I've used find a grave as a source for my genealogy over the years. Once again Thanks!!-- Karen

location of grave
I see where you have listed my grandfather's grave on the site. His name was Edward W. King and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes IL. On some listings of graves there will be such info as section #, row # and plot # do you have that info for his grave? The find a grave memorial #93627929 dated July 15, 2012. I need this info to find an available plot near to him and Gran for my Dad's memorial marker. Any help you can provide will be much appreciated. Thanks, Karen Brown

I believe you have the wrong parents listed for Nancy Jackson who is buried in the Old Thebes Cemetery in Alexander Co. Illinois. She is my grandmother's aunt. Her father was James Jackson and her mother was Sally McNew. Thank you for checking into this. bj

No, I'm not worried about a relative as I'm not related to any of these people. I was going to offer my help with research on them if you need it, that's all.

Re; Hodges Park & Unity Point

I hope all is well with you. I'm working now with a guy named Craig Thweatt (perhaps you know him). Anyway, he said that the cemetery named Unity Point is really the Hodges Park Cemetery and needs to be combined. He has photographed the entire cemetery and is currently posting them on line. Anyway, between me and you, we have numerous duplicates. He has asked me to move all my memorials from Unity to Hodges. If you have time, you might look and see about eliminating duplicates and about moving them to Unity Point so as to help him. I've been doing mine for the past hour and I think you are in the same boat as I am. Thanks.
