we also added photos for Kriegers(mae and irving) and another Sadowsky since they were in the same plot with Frances. The drought was fortunate since it helped uncover the overgrowth along with our pushing of the ivy since we are not allowed to remove anything near the graves according to cemetery rules. otherwise her grave would have been completely invisible.

No problem! I was in the cemetery looking for information for my family - and their stones are there with NO dates on them.. so it felt good to find something that might actually be helpful for someone else. :-)

Find-A-Grave is not going to just remove Alice's name as she is the creator of all those memorials. She was related to every memorial that she made.
But I'm sure they will honor edit and transfer requests when someone can prove their relationship to the loved ones in the memorials. Find-A-Grave is happy to let family members manage family memorials!

I saw that you left a message for Alice LaRue, requesting her to transfer some memorials to you. I just wanted to let you know that Alice has not been online for about a year.
I have no idea what has happened to my friend as she has not responded either through this site or e-mails in a year. I'm thinking that she has either lost computer capabilities to be online or has passed away. Sadly, I fear it is the latter.
If you have put in your transfer requests through the edit button, I believe that Find A Grave will eventually honor them. It's just a time-consuming process. It may take a month or so, but the requests won’t go through just by asking in a message. They have to go through the transfer request.
I didn't want you to think that Alice was just ignoring you...

Yes, I know it was wrong and I wrote another edit note right after it. I am going to assume you did not get that either. Thank you for contacting me about it!!

You are welcome. I seem to have slacked off on my find-a-grave volunteer work and decided I need to get back to it.
BTW, the Lycoming County Genealogical Society, of which I am currently President, has photographed all of the cemeteries in Lycoming County. You can obtain copies of pictures from them for $1.00.
I did not look to see if you have Find-a-Grave requests in Wildwood Cemetery in Lycoming County, but your best bet is to purchase them from the Gen. Society. Wildwood now charges a flat fee of $20 just to tell us where to find someone's grave, so it's not likely volunteers will be going there anymore unless they know exactly where to locate the grave.

Hi, I had claimed the Bruch requests for Milton Cemetery, but I have been dealing with a medical issue with my elderly father so I have not as yet been able to fulfill them. I unclaimed in case someone else in the area wants to claim. Once things settle down here I will take a look for them as long as the weather doesn't get extremely humid! If so, I will just reclaim them and add.

Carol, would you please get the section and lot numbers for your photo requests from Rest Haven. There is a link on their cemetery page. Please enter them into the memorial or email them to me directly. There are over 100 requests, which I would like to fill in the next few weeks. Thanks for your help and understanding! Liz

Hello, Carol. Yes, there is a marker next to Ethel. It belongs to Michael Herbert Denison (1887-1947). I've just created a memorial for him on Find a Grave and added the photo I happened to take today. I'm guessing it's Ethel's husband.
If you'd like me to transfer Michael to you, let me know.

There are a number of graves in these old plots that are small and I can't make out a name. A couple read "infant" I was unable to find Florence or George. Anna L. is on the same stone as Lillie (died as child apparently). I have photos of the plots for reference to show these unreadable markers. This cemetery doesn't have an office. I'll try to find out who is the caretaker and see if there are any records that show marker locations and such.

Thank you for calling this error to my attention. The fingers get to going and unless the computer reminds me of the error, sometimes I miss it.
I do not know these people at all. I have been working the very old portion of the cemetery and found a number of Hoe's clustered together. One would think they are all related. I hope this helps you out.

Hi Carol....Sorry about that….James Leech is my listing.
You need to ask the poster of Hanry R. Leech
to post his parents. Only the children (Harry)
can post parents. That way it will show up
on the James Leech page.
