If you haven't already, contact the gentleman who created the memorial. Harv is another person who is trying to honor our military. The book I have does not give places of death most times.

I am an admirer of your veteran research and hoping you will help me locate burials for the vets from your area. Please visit tinyurl.com/gq3tbnr WW1 Casualties of Texas and under home page visit unlocated. I appreciate all your work on Find A Grave and with it I was able to list the burial on many Remembrances. Thank you and I eagerly anticipate hearing from you. Peace...Danny

|Jan Wingo||Mrs. P. N. Estes|
Thank you for sending me the Paris, Texas (Paris Morning News, dated April 14, 1909) Obituary text via email for Nancy Luriney Sweeton Estes.
I am trying my best to continue my research into my mother's ancestral lines while she is still living (she is now 93 years of age). The Porter Newton Estes and Nancy Luriney Sweeton lines have not received much attention by my family up to now, and ANY expansion of the limited information we have to date is most gratefully appreciated.
I am not sure the administrative transfer of this account to me is the best idea since I know so little about these two ancestors, but I will do my best. So, "thank you, I think!" My mother, my sister and I personally visited their gravesites in McDonald Cemetery about 6 years ago while we were looking for other family ancestors thought to be buried there in Lamar County. When we accidentally stumbled across this whole other line buried there also, we danced the "Happy Dance" all the way back to Houston! It was a great day.
Again, thank you so much for your generosity and for all you have previoiusly done to administer these pages.

I do agree with the initial being an "S" instead of a "G". I've amended the transcribed info and linked Arthur to his parents, too. Thanks for the info! Janie

|Lawrence & Sue Dale||Emma Loggains|
Thought you would want to know....
A Lamar County death certificate for Emma Loggains, died May 14, 1955, can be found at Familysearch.org. It has the following information:
Fathers name: M. V. Rains
Mothers name: Mary McMichael
I 'believe' that Emma's maiden name should be listed as 'Rains' and not 'McMichael'....Look at this and see what you think...Sylvia
Name is correct as it stands on Findagrave:
First name is Emma
Middle name is McMichael
MAIDEN NAME is Rains (always in italics)
Last name is Loggains
From her second marriage record, name as Mrs. E. M. (McMichael)
Leaving the memorial as it was

I am looking for descendants of George Roy Haynes buried in Shoals Cemetery, Choctaw Co., Oklahoma. He is listed on the 1910 census in the same household as my husband's orphaned grandfather. Can anyone help me?

|Diane & John||Re: Rosie Butler|
No problem. She does have a memorial but it's in the name of Rosie Lee Padgett. Why that is I don't know since that name is not even listed on the stone & we add the names from the stones. Unless someone else did an "Edit" & changed her last name? I've deleted the one under Padgett & I'll add the tombstone photo to your memorial.

Thank you for sending the newspaper article about Lt Eckert's tragic death.
Do you know if the Republican Courier in Findlay, Ohio has given a blanket release of copyright on articles and obituaries. Many have, but some have not. Copyright laws do apply if they have not.

|usafdo||RE: Sgt John H. Fry 1922-1943 Lamar Co., Tx.|
I have to admit that the photos were for sale on Ebay.
I took a screen shot of them then added them to findagrave.com and www.fold3.com
Whenever I see photos like that I try to make copies of them then add them to the military members findagrave.
If I didn't then the photos would be gone forever, and the deceased military man who have a faceless entry.
If you would like them, I actually still have the .jpg files.
Please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
And I will email them to you... Best regards...

Perfectly done, yes, Here is my two cents worth, Make it as easy as possible on the member you are requesting edits / transfers from, sometimes they get loads of edits everyday and will ignore ones that take too many steps to process,
And, Thank you for your contributions!

Thank you so much for you very, very kind words. John would have appreciated it, too. Beaumont happened to be on our "route" when we did our traveling back & forth to Illinois from California. Maybe it was other peoples "route" as well coming from OK to CA! And we did genealogy research for relatives in the Hugo & Paris, Texas area.
