Many thanks for locating the gravemarker for George Harold Jamison. Much appreciated! Would you happen to know if there was a gravemarker for either Mildred Jamison (George's wife) or Richard Jamison (George's son) at the same cemetery?
Any help you could provide would be great.

|Linda Linn||RE: Thomas Boots Photo|
The 1895 and 1915 Iowa Census Records say he served in Illinois in the Navy. Navy Records are not very easy to find. I did find this on Fold 3 but there was no info other than his name with an alias Thomas Booth:

Navy Survivors' Certificates
… B › Bo › Boots, Thomas (#34127)
Publication Title: … Civil War and Later Navy Veterans (Navy Survivors' Certificates), 1861-1910
National Archives Catalog Title: … Civil War and Later Navy Veterans, compiled ca. 1861 - 1910
Short Description: … and place of birth of Navy veterans submitted between 1861 and 1910.
Veteran Surname: Boots
Veteran Given Name: Thomas
Thanks for your help in recognizing this Civil War Veteran. My husband is the State Graves Registration Officer for the Sons of Union Veterans and his goal is to identify burial places of all Civil War veterans buried in Iowa. We live in far western Iowa, so we depend on photo volunteers like you to verify burial places.

I didn't create that memorial. I have gotten them in the past by calling the information number for the cemetery.

Aha, so that's the answer.
Bernard is a relative, and I figured I'd find out which memorial was valid if a volunteer photographer like yourself posted a photo from a cemetery.
Thanks for your Find A Grave volunteer work, and have an awesome day, Bill
