Would you consider transfering this couple to me? I was posting photos for their memorials, & saw your pink photo which is off color-wise. I have been trying to get the find a grave photos up to date in the Nevada Cemetery, so spending a lot of time there. My number is 48841367. Thank you for your consideration of this matter.

Shannon Harvey
Dyer/King Family
Hi Judy,
I was wondering if you had any information on Susan Sharp Dyer King's father: Alexander Dyer. I believe his brother was William Alan Dyer; buried in Piney Flats, Tennessee, but I cannot find where Alexander is buried. I believe he is buried there, but no marked grave. I believe William and Alexander's father was David Dyer, who came from Ireland. I'm looking for any clues on these people.

I know Susan Sharp Dyer King was a sibling to Thomas Leander Dyer, my direct line.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Good Morning, While reviewing memorials for relatives, I noticed that you took photographs of a Rauscher/Hepps memorial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Clinton, MA. Lawrence Rauscher is my great uncle. Are you related to the Rauschers or Hepps? (I am a grandson of Katherine Rauscher Williams.)

Clinton, MA is a long way indeed from Litchfield Park, AZ.

These are the same person but one is listed under the "Conkin" surname. Dates are virtually the same. Photo is with the "Lane" and spouses for both are the same man. This came to light through a photo request for "Conkin". I expect the creators of the pages (who are 2 different people) will fix this. In the meantime you can check "Lane" for a photo. Thanks Val

These people are actually in the "Rock Springs Community Cemetery". The Rock Springs UMC has responsibility for both cemeteries, but they are in separate locations, though within sight of each other. See photo (it may not have been accepted yet). I was there today and located them. Thanks, Val

I'm glad I could help. Wish I could have found Mary Murray for you also. Church records for this very neat and well maintained cemetery might reveal the actual plot. No one was at the church and available to ask when I was there.

Judy,
There was a smaller stone to the right of their that had "mother" 1857-1931. It appeared to me to be the same make and color stone. I will have to see if the cemetery has a record for who is buried there, could that have been either Sam or Maggie mother?

Johns marker was almost covered up I tried to dig out the corners the best I could with my boots also the sun wasn't helping a lot on some of the other stones because of the shadows .
I wished I had a hand broom to clean his marker off better.

We got back from that area last week. I tried to get as many photo requests in Holston view as I could but wasn't as successful this year. I have about 300 people to add to the cemetery once I get the time so keep an eye out for those.

Hi Judy,

The Abbott and Morris/Morse cemeteries in Pope Co. are the same. I think there are AKA's that point to the Abbott cemetery.

Sorry I couldn't locate her grave. There are several sandstone markers and graves without markers. I also could have overlooked it. The cemetery is in VERY bad shape.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Annette

RE: Ivor Jones
I do. I met Ivor and Juanita several years ago when researching information for my book. I went to their house and interviewed them about their time at Milligan. A tape recording was made. It was donated to the ETSU library. I also included much of the information they told me in my book--Beside the Waters of the Buffalo. Do you have that? I really appreciate meeting them. They were so sweet. I remembered they served me goat cheese. It was the first time I had ever eaten it.

RE: Loyal White
We added to Loyal's grave this summer a funeral marker so that he would have an identified burial place. I'm not sure if I've added it to the Morelock site yet. But you can check. If not, I'll try and get it done before I go back to work.
