Bruce Roberts
Dear Barbara,
Thank you for the catching my error. A good friend of mine named Eric had passed away the day before I made the memorial page for Bruce, and he was heavy on my mind, and evidently I used his name instead of Bruce at the beginning of that one paragraph.
Thank you for the correction.

Gracie McBride
Thank you for all the wonderful information. And I love the beautiful photo of her! Her father married Nellie Ann Horney two months before Grace died, and they had five children and lived in Nebraska. That was such a sad story of Eli and Lillie.

Mother of Grace McBride Calfee
Yes, I just found out her name. It's Lillie Maude Calfee, b. 1879, Fremont Co., IA. Lillie and Eli (b. 1876, Harrison Co., IN) married 12 August 1896, Otoe Co., NE. I bet she is also buried in the same cemetery as Grace. Do you know if Eli is "Eli Wesley McBride," son of Charles and Mary McBride? Or where he is buried? Thanks!

RE: John Laurence Beckard

John Laurence Beckard is not my grandfather. Apparently I was not clear. He did however serve with my grandfather, Gunder Anderson, in the same unit in WWI: Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division.

I already have the photograph. The book you reference is online, but thank you for offering!

Thank you for the use of the photo. I've found over 200 of the 400 who served in the unit.

John Laurence Beckard
Dear Barbara,

I am researching my paternal grandfather's WWI army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the History and Roster of the 355th Infantry, John Laurence Beckard was a member of this unit. This is confirmed by his gravestone.

I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with my project, but I want to eventually publish something. So, with your permission, I would like to use your photograph of the grave of John L. Beckard (Find A Grave Memorial# 53272093). Please let me know if this would be acceptable.

Thank you, I appreciate your time.

With warm regards,

Bryan Anderson

RE: John Degette
Yes, If you would transfer the other 4 memorials then I can work with those. It really is difficult when people spell their birth surname to some other spelling. Which spelling should I use the one they were born with or the wrong spelling? I appreciate your offer very much. Thank you for being cooperative. I appreciate it more then you know. William Fox

John DeGette Memorial Transfer
I was surprised that you had completed the transfer that I requested so fast. I was in a quandary as to how to add the correct family surname yet keep the family all on the same page but now I see they have been separated because of the surname correction. Do you have any suggestions? I would appreciate your input on this matter. Thanks so much for your cooperation as I don't get this very often.

I love the family picture of the Davis Family. Did you find the picture or did one of the relatives send it to you?

Milly Schulze was my grandmother.

I have also looked at the book you have in the Nebraska Historical Society for Unadilla. All the work you do is wonderful and greatly appreciated!

RE: Hannah Marie Lucas
Well, that would be great. This is the saddest family history i have ever worked on. I do have dob on everone, used tombstone calculator. Can i change them. My husband comes thru Thomas and Berniece in Nebraska. tom's dad was Alfred and Nora. I want to do a special page for Joseph and Hannah for the Lucas Reunion this year. Years ago you mentioned on find a grave, that Hannah went back to England, but I could never find passage, the closest I came was a Hannah Lucas in the 1880 sched. of defective, dependent in Mass she was admitted in jun 1880 and was insane. Thanks for the info on a possible last name. I think they were married 1868-69. They arrived Apr 1869 and they are in 1870 Census. Happy Hunting Bernie Foster-McCall

I think this is my man. Do you take pictures of the grave? I think his wife is there too. She is Sarah S Holton, died 6 Feb 1947.
Is this a big cemetery? All kinds of questions...
I know it is winter and the snow is flying. I can wait for a picture in warmer weather.

RE: Sarah J. Roselius
Thank you for your interest. I wonder if we are talking about the same memorial. The headstone in the photo indicates A C Roselius (Find A Grave Memorial# 59459919). I do know from family sources that Sarah Holman was married to Augustus Roselius and they had three girls together before his wife died, possibly in childbirth. The three girls went to foster families. One of thise girls was my Great grandmother, Katie. Somewhere in my huge cache of family documents lies Augustus' obituary. When I find it I will post it online.
I hope this helps. Please contact me again if I can be of assistance.

Wyuka Cemetery Peleg Redfield
Hi, you created his memorial. Do you know who is buried next to him? I can't find his wife Silena Shewell Redfield. I see you have another memorial for an Unknown female in same cemetery. Could this be her? My Silena died thru family hearsay 15 Sept 1858 Nebr City, NE. I did request a photo of his grave and asked to see who is buried in his plot with him. Maybe it is your unknown. She is a dau of Rev Henry Shewell, lst Methodist Circuit Rider in Portage Co Ohio, and I am doing research for local historical society, plus is my ancestors. Looking for all descendants. If you have any access to local cemetery records or sexton records, could you help solve this mystery for me. Thanks SO MUCH

William Heinrich Hahn
Dear Barbara,

I am researching my paternal grandfather's WWI experience with Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the booklet, "History and Roster of the 355th Infantry, 89th Division," William H. Hahn, from Unadilla, Nebraska served in this unit.

Since he is listed as being from the same town that is mentioned in findagrave posting (Find A Grave Memorial# 53334314), I can't help but think this is the correct individual, based on the location.

Would you happen to know whether this William H. Hahn served in Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division? Many from this area did served with the 89th, so it's likely.

I appreciate your efforts!

Lucy Richards
Do you know anything about Lucy Richards, other than what is in her memorial (#132443662)? My
great grandfather's second wife, Lucy A. Ellam Rowe, married Lewis Richards after her husband died in 1905. Lucy was 39 in 1910, and was living then in Spring Creek, Johnson County, NE.

Is there a grave marker for this Lucy Richards?
