I'm sorry to take so long to reply, I've been out of town. As far as photographs, most of mine have been in the northwest corner and north fence line of the cemetery. I have taken photographs of graves while my husband takes photographs of the wildflowers so I really haven't had any organization! Sorry I can't be more help. I know what you are doing is really appreciated! Mary Beth

|Julie Shepard Hall||RE: Welcome|
Thank you. I will try and do some as I can, but I am way over committed as it is. I will ask my husband if he would be interested in helping. I've got a couple that I have to get back to Holy Cross to take. I need to go when they are open so I can get a lay of the cemetery, so I'm not walking the whole section. I'm sure there is an easier way.

|Valletta Lewis||RE: Anderson Family relations|
Nice to "meet" you ! I will definitely email you privately. I have just started picking back up with my research on both mine and my husband's families. I saw your edit for Nance's date of death, but it conflicts with info that we have. We will be in WA this summer, so our plan is to visit Mtn View cemetery to photograph all the family headstones. I also need to order a copy of the death certificate. Nance died before I met my husband.
I'll be in touch soon !

Hi Rosalie, I sent a reply via private email, but just in case it doesn't get to you: Yes, I'm happy to coordinate and help. I just found the 'edits' page and accepted the edits. My spell-checker constantly fights me over names :-) Thanks. Look forward to helping out. M

Yes, I knew about the duplicate. Thanks for reaching out to the other author.
I'm sitting here with Francena's grandaughter!
I can also reach out to F.A.G. and have them merge the two memorials. Your's should take precedence, as you documented this memorial first.

|Jan Gruwell||RE: Kingsbury request in Riverside Cemetery|
Thank you for checking. I don't know if we are related to the Grewell's in Washington State. The rule of thumb in our family is that if it is spelled the same, we're related. If you have some given names I could check.
Thanks again, Jan

Mars might be all done. That was my very first attempt at Riverside. I say might because after I started I realized how big of a job it was.
Saturnia is half done as of yesterday. Sue

|Ellen Hamby||RE: Maggie Rail data|
I wanted to let you know that I've read your most recent comment, but am too fatigued to properly respond. If you don't mind, I'd like to transfer the conversation to email. I'll do my best to get back to you within the next couple of days.
For now I'll just explain my connection to Spokane and Greenwood. Many of my mother-in-law's relatives (late 19th-c. Swedish immigrants) settled in Spokane. I had D.C.s and obits stating that some of them were buried at Greenwood, but I couldn't find them on F.A.G. So, I googled "survey Greenwood Spokane" and found Miss Rail's survey; she had the people I was looking for listed as being buried there, so I added them to F.A.G.
Anyway, I'll be back in touch very soon, and thank you for keeping our conversation civil, even pleasant.

|Marie and Bruce Newell||Arthur and Anna VanDivort|
We respectfully request permission to use Arthur and Anna's cemetery marker photos in our personal tree. Anna is Bruce's cousin and the photo will make a great addition to our tree. They are interred in Wenatchee Cemetery.
Thanks for your consideration.

|Ellen Hamby||RE: Maggie Rail data|
You wrote, "Ellen, are you adding more memorials from her work? I have found may errors in her work and I know she does not want her work transcribed to Find a Grave. At one time it was said that she had planted a fictitious person in the cemeteries she had done to track entries made from her work. I have compared cemetery rosters and her work as reference or clarification and was surprised at the errors. It can be a reference but I would not use it as primary data to make entries. As diligent as you are on verifying your sources I think you may want to look at this one closer."
I am continuing to create memorials based on Miss Rail's surveys. I can't imagine why this would trouble Miss Rail, but, in any event, she has no copyright on her lists of names, dates, burial locations, and similar facts. If there are mistakes in her surveys, and if I (and the many others who use her surveys) bring those errors to Find A Grave, they'll eventually be found and corrected.

That is outstanding detective work on your part. How amazing it is when we collaborate and strive to tell the story of a life lived. I am totally addicted to this site. Best wishes and thanks for being so super careful. I try, too, but mistakes are bound to happen.

|Marge||RE: Wenatchee WA Fry's|
I don't know who Carrie is. My grand uncle, Casper Hunter Fry and his wife, lived in Spokane, Washington. His one daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Fry Sullivan and family, also lived there. His other children lived in Oregon. Casper's sister, my maternal grandmother, and most of my Fry family, lived in NC. Who are Carrie's parents?
