RE: Mary McKay Duncan
WOW! So many conflicting dates! My husband found his information a few years back on as well. It seems Ms Mary will keep us all guessing. I'll try to see what Chris Beard has to say. Thanks so much!

Mary McKay Duncan
Mary was the 4x's great grandmother of my husband,Bob,whose mother ( also named Mary after her 3x's great grandmother) was a Duncan. She is still living, as well as some of her siblings. The information we have on Mary is that she was born in Wyoming territory, and was an orphan. She came to New Orleans,LA searching for an Uncle. She was born Feb 26, 1799, and married Jacob Cullen Duncan II sometimes in 1818 while in New Orleans. No mention if she ever found her Uncle. I see your information shows she was born in MS. We show she died June 7,1902- which would make her living to be 103! But the dates on this write up refer to her dying young. Not sure about that when you look at the photo, but then again they aged so quickly back then. The write up says she died after 1948. We would love to see proof of some sort off census or something so we can have the correct dates. It was amazing to see her photo! We would appreciate any true facts about Mary. Thank you!!!

Sarah Frances Binkley Poor
I believe Sarah is the daughter of William Allen Binckley, born in Perry co Ohio. I have not done enough research to actually document this, but Sarah's death certificate states her father was a Binkley.
I happen to be born in Perry co Ohio and I am also a Binckley. I now live in Kansas (40 years.

Matthew M. Rushing
Memorial 90777662

Where is the Breland family cemetery?
It only has one person buried there and he was a Rushing?
Is there a CSA marker for Matthew Rushing?
The Breland/Breeland family is pretty touchy about the name being wrong, so I want to be sure I have Sarah Ann Breland attached correctly. Do you have anything that proves she married Matthew M. Rushing? Did they have children? I have a note that she died in 1928, but cannot find that proven anywhere yet.

Thank you

Shannon Gorman

RE: Breland/Breeland Cemetery
You might ask Find A Grave to merge the two cemeteries, and ask them to add an AKA for Breland Cemetery to it. I usually use for those suggestion.

I have Rushings in my family, but it appears they married into my line. Aunt Loney Rushing Sykes is still living in Brookhaven 90 yoa.

RE: Photo of John H. Savage grave
I will try to find the other ones you have. This one was right on the side of the road so it was easy to find. The others I might have to go to the Historical Society to find. I will see how to weather holds here. It might not be until spring! I have Savage relatives but can't find a common relative yet!

Hi Mary, I made the changes but I transferred her to you. Too much other stuff you are likely to find out and want to change on her memorial, so this way you can change it when you get the info rather than having to wait on me.

Hi Mary, You're welcome! The site has helped me find a lot of relatives as well and I have really appreciated it.

Hi Mary, I believe in placing the memorials with those who have information about the people and their families and hopefully want to record it on the memorials on Find A Grave. That's all that really matters. I have put in so many records now that I will never be able to research them all, so I am more than happy to turn them over to people who have more information on those who have passed away. So if you see any other people you have researched that I have put in feel free to just ask me to transfer them.

Carnrikes in Marysville
I made those links but also transferred the memorials to you, as far as I know I am not related to them. I also changed his birth year since the photo Nancy Crane posted showed a different year.

Thank you for the corrected spelling for Mary's memorial.

There are several Carnrikes in Elm Creek Cemetery. If the John and Ann buried there are Mary's parents, let me know and I will add links.
