I apologize...now that I more closely read the obit I see what you are talking about. If you re-send me the change through the edit tab I will gladly make the change. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I don't know what obituary you are reading, but this one clearly matches her memorial:
Lois, the last born of seven children, was predeceased by her parents, Andrew Jackson Cotney and Susan Rebecca Millirons Cotney; four brothers and two sisters; her first husband, Jackson Green Parker; infant son Neil Parker and her husband of almost 60 years, Hampton Wallace Bearden.

Thank you so much for sending the info for his memorial. Although F.A.G. requires us to use the headstone info to populate the Birth fields I did add the info you provided to his memorial in the bio section. Hopefully anyone searching for him will be able to locate this information using a Google search.
Thank you again!

Bless You and Thank You for this site for those left behind. To be in this prison of pain and suffering which only time can heal is difficult, but kind gestures as this is such a blessing. He has the most beautiful smile on his face. I was told he was thinking of me. I humbly pray so. He knew Love, he knew Christ. Love, Linda Reynolds Parkman, Ed.S.

You're more than welcome!
I never expected to find six people on one obelisk and was looking for a group of six headstone. Fortunately I had a map of the cemetery and went over that small area more closely. Ta-Daaaaaa!
Learned a lesson there. ;)

Flat Creek had no Holland's in it. There are some in the Cemetery in Marietta, TX. All of them may have been photographed?

Did not find this cemetery where the map says it was...? There is one at this location called Flat Creek Cemetery. After checking back on Find A Grave... I'll make it by again and see if this Holland is in Flat Creek.

|Doug & Marilyn Parman||Doveanna Parker Hodges|
I got a message from a person on Find a Grave about Doveanna Parker Hodges. The same photo that is on her memorial is the one I posted on my 3rd great grandmother. I was given the photo by her Grandson Carroll Hodges back in the early 80's. So my question is do you have any other photos? I have look at my tree my Martha Ann Fulford Hodges & her husband, Brantley came from Macon Co, Georgia, so there is a connection. If you have anymore info you can email me or message me whatever is easier.

Patricia, there is a photo of Emma Pate's grave already on Find-A-Grave. I went to post it and found the photo. Another volunteer in this area took it for you.

Thank you so much for bringing the birth year to my attention. I didn't link this person to John Clark. You will have to go to his memorial and let that person know that this is an infant not the wife.

Hi Patricia -
We are cousins since Dred Harris is my 3rd g-granduncle (he is the brother of my 3rd G-grandmother, Kezziah K. Harris (1835-1921).) I'll happily transfer Dred to you and hope you can fill in the blanks as to his wife and children - I have many versions of his wife's Elizabeth's maiden name and don't know what happened to his children Amanda and Mary.
Also, I would like to invite you to the family tree of "Wright-Thomas-King-Rankin" on ancestry.com if you are interested. Kezziah Harris married an Upson Wright as you can see by her memorial # 36560036. Hopefully together we can add even more pictures and fill in the blanks.

|Kim Houston Orrick||McCoy at Bethel|
I found the headstone for Charles McCoy but didn't find his wife. According to the cemetery index create in 1958 found at http://files.usgwarchives.org/ga/early/cemeteries/bethel.txt, there was a headstone for Sallie but had no dates. It must have been destroyed over the years.

Was her husband Claude ?
