RE: Cemeteries you have photographed
Thank you.

I have a Burroughs line, that descends from my Carpenter line. They are from the Clay County, Alabama, area. Any chance they are kin?

Cemeteries you have photographed
I am updating my files at Ancestry.com and have found that you made photographs of distant relatives at some of the cemeteries you have photographed. May I have your permission to use these photographs with their records at Ancestry.com? I will gladly cite you as my source. Thank you.

RE: Mellie Hagwood Kilgore
Any documentation with them as her parents, family bible, etc? Partin's daughter, Mellie is shown in the 1900 census as being born May 1884 between her brother, James Willis & her brother, Howard Lee. Based on what you have for her birthday, that would put her between her sister, May (Laura Mae)& her brother, Jamie. Or...the birthday is wrong & they didn't really know how old she was when she died?

His Pate grandparents died in Henry Co GA in the 1840's. I'll check the cemetery again and see if I can place any of the Pate's.

RE: ford and elizabeth husley
The spelling of the surname is actually Hulsey, my maiden name. Gilford (Ford as you listed on the memorial) was the son of Charles Hulsey & Nancy Pate. Gilford was a younger brother to my ancestor, Kenion Tarpley Hulsey.

I just noticed that you added Tamplin for his initial T. Do you know the source? Quite a few of the Hulsey men have the middle name Tamp or a variation.

My great grandfather is Willie Carrie's father. I have been stuck in the ancestry for that side of the family forever! Do you have information on William Hughes Campbell? My grandfather is the son of him and his first wife, Julia Stewart.

Thanks so much for your contribution. Many of these Pates are my ancestors and it's really nice to get to see their grave stones & to know where they are buried. Whether I ever get the opportunity to go out there myself or not, it's been a wonderful opportunity (thanks to you), to know where they are buried.

We're probably a couple of hours away. Do you think you'll be going back there anytime soon? I believe there are other ancestors buried there as well and we would love to get some pictures of some gravestones.

We haven't tried to find it yet, Sherri. My husband is sometimes in that area for work so he was going to try to find it next time he is there. I appreciate your offer, tho. And will surely take you up on your offer if we have trouble finding it. Thanks!
