Mr. Metcalfe,

I respectfully request transfer of this memorial to me, Wayne Ashley. This gentleman is my G-G-Grandfather. I would in turn transfer it over to the SUVCW which I am a member. I applied for and received a VA veterans plaque which I intent to have placed this summer. I am semi new to this process so any help offered or given is greatly appreciated. Feel free to e-mail me if you choose. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

RE: Harrison and Helen Matterson
There is an issue that I found afterwards. There are two cemeteries in Findagrave for the same location. Burlington Cemetery and Burlington Green Cemetery. I didn't notice this until after I had sent my message to you. When I looked at the maps of both cemeteries, they pointed to the same place. I sent a message to Findagrave to review these and combine them somehow. I see that they might have already fixed this. Please link Harrison to his parents Nathan W. Matterson and Sarah Bardwell from the same location on your record and I will remove my entries for Harrison and his wife.

Ruth E Davises in Woodlawn Cemetery
With different burial years and no birth date for the one, I think they must be two different people. I asked that the picture be removed from the one.

So how does Charles Husted March fit it?
Brother of William R. March, original settler.

One fact about Tioga County is how late it was settled. 1820.. the place was pretty empty. The Indians had no permanent settlements there.

Well people so make small changes to names to drive us nuts.
Tioga County examples:
Northrop, Northrup.. same people.
Dartt, Dart, Dort... same people.
Many more example I could think of.
So Marsh, March.. who knows!!

Fanna L 'Fanny' Treat Cooper Grave
Hi Chuck -- Would you please let me know where you found the maiden name 'Treat' for the Find-A-Grave Memorial # 108739738 (Fanna L 'Fanny' Treat Cooper)?

Fanna's husband, Albert Cooper, is my 3rd great-uncle. His brother, Elijah (my 2nd great-grandfather), married Hannah Treat (my 2nd great-grandmother). Hannah's sister's name (my 3rd great-aunt) is Fanna 'Fanny' L Treat. She was born in Erin, Chemung County, New York about 1848.

It appears that Albert Cooper may have married his sister-in-law's sister!! :-)

Any information that you may have regarding Fanna L (Treat) Cooper's maiden name would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Patti Driscoll

RE: Where was photo taken?
Thanks for the prompt reply. CABrown says he/she does not keep records and deletes photos as soon as posted. Also said will remove his/her memorial. That will solve the problem. I will also request the links to Ward's parents and siblings. Now that it goes through the edit page, we are more likely to get results. I really felt that the true burial location was Cherry Creek; Nathan Towne is seldom wrong where that cemetery is concerned.

Where was photo taken?
Your photos appear on the memorial for Ward King, Jr. in Cherry Creek Central Cemetery, Cherry Creek, NY #15595150. There is another memorial for him in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg, NY #29542838 with the same photos but taken by CABrown. Please check your records to see where your photos were taken. I will ask CABrown to check his/hers also. Thanks.

Hi. You photographed a lot of Mount headstones in the Cherry Creek cemetery. May I have your permission to use them on my Ancestry tree? Thanks, Anne Mount West

Chuck,

I wish Find A Grave would notify users when a photo is uploaded to one of their memorials. If that was the case, then I wouldn't be more than 4 years late in thanking you for the great photo you added.

It is very much appreciated!

I consulted a cousin, who has access to the birth records, the first-hand source. Andrew Hultberg was born November 12, 1843, in Södra Vi.

My sources are jamestownswedes.org/1856 Sugar Grove Congregation and a local Swedish source concerning Södra Vi. I saw that the dates of birth were different and I intend to check it in the birth records. To do it I must go the City Archives in Malmö, where I live. It can take some time.

RE: Thank you!
You are most welcome.

I do not know if I am personally connected with A. Strickland and have no information on him. I have visited Woodlawn Cemetery to find the grave of a Confederate ancestor and was touched deeply by the Confederate section - all those young men who suffered greatly and were then buried so far from home.

I first sponsored the graves of the Columbus County, North Carolina (my home county) veterans and am now working on sponsoring other North Carolina graves.

Thank you for creating the grave site on Find A Grave.
