Thanks for your reply. I will continue searching for links between the two. Dan was a dear friend but I can't remember if he ever mentioned a sister and he's not mentioned in Claudia's memorial. When I knew them, he was living in Austin and she was living in Temple, TX. He then moved to Morgan's Point which is near Belton. Please let me know if you come across anything. Thanks!

Hi! I'm wondering if the memorial for Claudia Gleaton #106180565 is related to my old friend Dan Turner memorial#106217766?
I have been unable to find an obituary for him.
Thanks! Maggie Swinney

|Maria Urbanek||Add Maternal Link|
Lee Reynolds 104742375 and James M Reynolds 104742281 were two of my grandfather's brothers. My grandfather was Adelle Loy Reynolds 113006534. I'm trying to get my great-grandmother, Frances Busby Reynolds 104742358, linked to all of her children.
When you have a moment, could you link Lee Reynolds and James M Reynolds to their mother, France Busby Reynolds?

Hi dear Nancy.
I was hoping you could tell me more about memorial # 59873270. Clarance "Miller". I did not do an edit because I need more info. before I feel comfortable that my records are correct. I show him as being the adopted son of Joe and Alice (Hutto) Miller. My research (along with family storie's) indicate he was born a Chavis. His death cert. signed by Joe Miller show him as Clarence/Clarance Chavis same dod, listing his mother as Mary Chavis and his father as either a Tinie or a Jimmie Chavis (hard to read the handwriting on his death cert.) I believe him to be the son of Mary Jane Chavis who he shows up with as son Clarence Chavis on early census records. This was before Mary Jane Chavis met and married my grandfather Henry G. Williams. Clarence was not the son of Henry G. Williams according to the family and the death record...though several people have listed him as the father.... I have also seen some people who list his mother as Leila Williams who was on the first census Mary Jane Chavis and Henry G. Williams were married and then she disappears.... I have been told her story (Leila Williams) but I do not believe she is Clarence's mother by any means. If you have any info. or could reseach this further, I sure would appreciate it very much.... He is confusing to me. Thank you so much, Marie

And possibly a daughter with him named Mrs. Amelia Holman who lived in Orangeburg when Jacob Water died? Jacob Walter was born Orangeburg SC November 23, 1876 or 1878, died Jan 26, 1945 aged 68 years and buried in Dayton OH. Thank you for your time.

That is correct. I swear that when I looked at it earlier it said burial: unknown. So, I was just trying to fill in the blanks. It looks great! Thanks so much for your efforts. I have been looking up a number of relatives back to the early 1800's and it has been fascinating!

Nancy it seems as though I have duplicated one of your entries. Would you take the information form my entry for Mr. Shealy Find A Grave #61141003 and paste it to your entry Find A Grave#54460252 . When you have done that I will be happy to delete my entry. Thanks. Since Faye Cannon alerted me of this duplicate I will let her know how we are handling it. Thanks.

|Frances Parker||RE: Re: Transfers|
I am aware of that, however I have been engaged in a years long process of trying to locate descendants of those interred at Douglas, while battling the city over their responsibility. The process has now begun to include the other owners of the cemetery, and to have them stop the current practices that are further destroying Douglas. We also hope to have the owners who have destroyed numerous graves acknowledge what they did and place a memoriam as those graves will never be recovered. We spent today at Douglas marking unmarked graves and those with markers many broken. I have added pictures of my Uncle Willie and his marker and Mr. Harrington's marker. When I contacted you, I did not realize you'd listed the information on burials that Chicora has in their document. There are many other burials there including my family members and I will be adding them. I hope you will consider transfering all of the Douglas decedents you have listed to me, as we feel this will help in our quest to locate descendants, most of whom appear to have left the Columbia area are or elderly. The Chicora Foundation feels having family members involved strengthens our case. For years it has been me and my family, but we have found a few other members. As a result of our tweets we had a gentleman travel here from upstate NY last month to visit the graves of his great grandmother and uncles. I have pictures that I have taken as opposed to the ones Chicora has in their document that I will be posting. Please check our FB page and you will see some of the graves we marked today. April is City Serve month and the city has promised to solicit volunteers to help at Douglas.If you would like to join in we would love to have you. Each visit to Douglas leaves me emotionally spent and unable to unwind. Today Chicora gave me a hard hat to wear when the removal of trees begins, I'm excited for what is to come. When we finish the city side hopefully the other owners will have come onboard and we can make even more progress.

I have two photo requests for photos in the Roland Family Cemetery, Lexington, SC. I am unable to locate this cemetery, as there are no specifics on the Find A Grave site or available through the county or online. There are only 9 interments, Tracker memorialized 8 and you memorialized the other (above). Tracker does not have any information or bio on Find A Grave, so I hope you may have specific location for this cemetery.
