RE: Lewis Cemetery
I can get myself to the Lewis cemetery but I am not that familiar with that area to give directions.
You might try contacting Catherine j. Lewis Sams (Find A Grave # 48091646). She was raised around that area. She probably can give you the directions.
I hope this will help you.

Hey Mark This pic was sent to me by another find a grave member so I am not sure where it is located. My guess would be Wirt county WV. The sender said it was located in a remote area. I can't remember who sent the pic. James was my grandfathers brother. Good luck in your search.

Mr. Goudy. I only posted the pictures. My partner is a Foreman so he has all the information and pictures. If you want any information from him, you can contact him at His name is Phil Foreman, son of Lowell Foreman. He has been working on updating his family tree and would appreciate hearing from you.

RE: John B. Ryan 118872391
We can't find any evidence of John being in the military. Phebe Wince Ryan would be my 1st cousin 3 times removed. Unfortunately, I have never seen a photograph of her, so I wouldn't be able to identify her.

RE: Ruth Miller
The information on Ruth Miller was taken from a cemetery list. I did not see a stone.

It's Relative
There's a saying we have here in Tyler County about everyone being related.. the gene pool is mighty shallow.. LOL

RE: Goudy
You know everyone in WV is related somehow! My connection is through family marriages -- I don't think I have a drop of Goudy blood in me though. Have a great Thanksgiving if I don't "talk" to you before then!

I've requested the changes to Eliza Jane Ruckman's stone. Hopefully, it will get done. Please let me know if I can assist you in any way.

RE: A. M. Goudy
No this would be George William Goudy son of Stephen Arnold Goudy.. I would say you are a fourth cousin give or take with the clan I am connected to..

RE: Goudy
All of my links are as complete as they can be. I'm missing a few folks but I'm still looking. Do you suppose Eliza Jane Ruckman, A.M.'s wife, is buried along side him? She died March 7, 1914 in Proctor. There are a lot of unmarked graves there...

RE: A. M. Goudy
I was married to Victor Goudy son of Joseph Goudy who was the son of George Goudy.. Victor was killed in the coal mines in 2008. According to my ancestry research Alexander Mack Goudy would be the third great uncle to my husband Victor.. We are all from the Wetzel/Tyler County area of West Virginia.. Do you have many photos of the ones from way back when?? So consider me an inlaw/outlaw or relative by marriage.. LOL..

Thank you so much for the pictures, Mr. Goudy! These were my great-great-grandparents. Since I live so far away from West Virginia, I probably would never have been able to see where they are least, not for a very long time.

Thanks again,

I found their names in a Wood County Cemetery Inscription book at the Wood County Library.

RE: Clara Goudy
Mark, I had your James Goudy on my list too, but forgot to look for him. Of the other 4 I had, I only found one. Rather discouraging. I may try to get back there tomorrow to recheck for James - at least that section was essay to search.
