13th Generation Fairbanks in America
RE: Thomas John Reddington
Hi and thanks for contacting me. I have made the additions you requested and checked my file for unposted photos. I found a photo of the permanent marker for the Reddingtons and have added it to their memorials. I removed the temporary marker photo. I usually don't keep those on once I have the photo of the permanent marker. If there is any additional information you wish to add, just let me know. Regards.

Kathy,
You are very welcome.
I don't know if you know you can check the Archdiocese website to find loved ones.
go to: rcancem.org
Click on cemeteries, then Holy Name, then scroll down to find a loved one.
Good luck,
Cecelia

Robert Thoman
Kathy,
The birth year is different. Headstone reads 1902 - 1964. Find A Grave memorial has 1904 birth year.
And I found another Robert Thoman in section 6. Born 1947 Died 1967. There is a Harold J and Pauline in the same grave.
Hope there is a relation!

Their suggestion:
-------------------------
Shirley Ertle's maiden name is "Lake", her sister is Nancy Lake, Memorial #98358362. Shirley's husband, William "Bill" Ertle's mother is Catherine H. (Coleman) Ertle, whose name is on the headstone.

1. added Lake as maiden name.
2. I found Nancy Lake but the photo on the memorial is Catherine Ertle. ??
3. I couldn't find a memorial for Catherine Ertle.
4. Would you like me to transfer these 2 memorials to you?

Thank You

Cathy,
I stopped today to see if I could get a better picture of the Farrell grave M - 72 - D in Holy Name Jersey City.
Sorry no luck. I will try again on a cloudy day.
Just to let you know I haven't forgotten,

RE: Edward Farrell Grave
Kathy,
No I do not know the plot number. All I know is that he is in the Military Section across from the Catholic nuns.
If I ever catch the maintenance foreman, he whizzes by, hard to get him to stop, he may know how they are numbered, if they are numbered. I will let you know.

RE: Edward Farrell Grave
Kathy,
I used the flowers to make the spot.
And go to: rcancem.org it is the web site for the Newark Archdiocese.
Click on Holy Name and then on the drop down click on cemetery.
The on the left side of the page scroll down to "find a loved one".
Better if you just use the last name. The plot numbers will be on the right and you can determine if there is anyone else in that grave.
That's if they have Edward listed.
If not call the cemetery office. They are there to help. If they ask, you are looking for a close relative to pay a visit. (They are not very nice at times).
Good luck in your search.

RE: McInerney Graves
You're welcome! Glad I was able to find them. I happened to stop at Lakeview Memorial Gardens first before going to Lakeview Cemetery. Fortunately noticed the McInerey name from my search list I had with me. I was looking for another person who supposedly was interred there for a different photo request. I never could find a marker for them. At least the stop saved me from searching at Lakeview for the McInereys.

I'm very sorry for the tragic loss to your family. It must have been a terrible shock to learn what happened. After what you said about the brother possibly suppressing the news of the deaths makes me wonder if the name change at Lakeview Memorial Gardens was intentionally done as well.

I should add that I phoned for plot information but never heard back yet. I spoke with a woman that was supposed to pass a message along to the person who has the burial records. Also wanted to ask if they know anything about the name change for Daniel Mcinerey. If I hear anything will let you know.

RE: Daniel/David Grave
Let me see if I can get the plot info and will ask about the marker for David. I thought maybe the 4 spaces in that corner section were for the family. Do you know a Sarah White 1906-1977?

RE: McInerney Graves
Sorry I don't have the plot information. I could call and ask if they have it at the cemetery office. I did not see a Daniel. There is a David A directly below that seems to have the same birth and death date.

RE: PFC. John P. Ertle Grave
There is a military section. I will look for him in there but most of the headstones are like a sandstone and some are very hard to read. I will also look in S section.
The response you got from the office worker is why I do not go in there and why I ask family members to request the info. They should of helped you, that is their job. Especially with a Veteran.

RE: Katherine and Ralph Pomeroy Graves
Katherine and Ralph Pomeroy are buried in this family plot, which was purchased in 1925 by Ethel Richmond. In it are buried Ethel, Jean Cox, Paul Richmond Sr., Dorothea Pomeroy, Ernest Cox, and Katherine and Ralph. These are the only two stones on the plot.

I work at Hillside and take a photo of the file card before I look for a grave. Many people do not have individual stones, and knowing the names of the other people in the plot tells me where a person is.

Kathy,
I went back to another picture. It was about 2:30 and the sun was coming around and slightly shining on the stone. I took about 10 pictures and they all came out dark.
I will have to go back just before the close, when the sun is completely shining on the stone.
A flash would not work because he stone is so high you have to stand back aways to get the whole thing in the frame.
And I checked, there are no other names on the stone but, there is a Elizabeth buried 10/5/79, James A. 10/15/28, Michael T. 2/4/35, Teresa 9/24/62 and Stephen 8/30/77 in that grave also.
Hope it helps you in your family search.

I will try and lighten the picture if not, I will go back and try again when the sun is behind me.
The stone reads:
Erected in memory of our beloved mother
Bridget A. Farrell
Born March 5, 1849?
Died Feb. 2, 1917
Sorry you can't read it. Usually when I get pictures home they come out perfectly.

RE: Mary Farrell
As I read your message, I'm still at the cemetery doing the requests. So I went back to the grave and took another photo, wide angle. Also a shot of other graves nearby with the same type of stone. I don't always find them as foot stones in the cemeteries I do. Maybe it a "Jersey" thing lol. Will send the photos to you sometime today. Martha

Just an FYI, but that military stone is mounted at the headstone area not at the foot. Will check and see if there is a new stone on next visit. Martha

Yes it is at Mt Olivet in Middletown NJ....I have removed them...But the name is too much of a coincidence you might want to look into it

Someone requested the photo....the footstone is warren and the Headstone is the plot that he is buried in....I always put the headstone that marks the plot because it helps others who might be looking for them in person or in families. If you want me to remove the headstone I will.
