RE: Ignatius Duvall
Hi! Sherri, I happened to see a photo on my ancestry site. I am not related to him, but several of the Duvall relatives run through-out my tree. The stone is one large one, with Ignas, Julia and son Fredrick names on it. The photo is on a public tree, can I just snag the photo and add it, to find a grave. Or do I need permission. I have never added photo to Find a grave yet. I did save it to my computer. It is on the Duvall-Gensler family tree, on ancestry .com

RE: Besier
Be advised that John Andrews' wife's maiden name was Bessier. She is the daughter of Peter George Bessier, and the sister of George. I had it in my records, but I don't have her death or marriage yet.

RE: Besier
According to Peter Bessier's son George's death notice(1903), George says he came to America in 1851. This is most likely true as he married Dora Fink in Sandusky, Huron Co., 20 June 1852. The question is did Peter come at the same time? Another question is whether Peter's wife died in Germany?
Have you checked the M.E. Church records? According to George's death notice he was a member of this church, and his funeral was officiated by Rev. Koehler of Ida.

RE: George & Dora Bessier
I forgot to mention that John George Besier's father was Peter George Bessier, b. abt. 1795 in Bavaria, Germany, and died on 30 October 1880 in Raisnville Township, Monroe Co., Mi., USA. According to the "Monroe Commercial", published on 05 November 1880, Peter died at the home of his son George.

RE: George & Dora Bessier
I'm not related to the family, but my wife's niece's adopted child is. Do you have all 12 children of John and Dora? I have 8 of the 12:

1. Caroline b. abt. 1853
2. William b. abt. 1854
3. George b. abt. 1857
4. Louise b. abt. 1859
5. Lena b. abt. 1868
6. Elizabeth b. 22 Jun 1869 (child's ancestor)
7. Louis W. b. 02 Aug. 1872
8. Minnie b. April 1874

I have a big gap between Louise and Lena, and two smaller gaps one between William and George, and the other between Elizabeth and Louis. Any help would be appreciated.

on the other side of the child's parentage I have been able to get back to about 550 A.D. The child has numerous royalty, including Charlemagne, Carolman, Rollo and many others. The child has about 8 ancestors who are saints.

George & Dora Bessier
Just thought you would like to know that George and Dora had 12 children. This information was gleaned from Dora's death notice published in the "Record Commercial", on 14 Februaery 1907.

Hi Sherri,
I have no problem with Leta's page being removed instead of yours. I agree that the older one should stay. Can I assume you are coordinating with Leta to have her headstone photo added to your page? Please update your birth and death dates to agree with the death certificate and headstone shown on Leta's page.
Thanks for helping me to get the memorials removed from Summerfield Cemetery. It's now down to just 4 remaining.

Sorry, did not find out any more info on Ellen J. Kenyon Couper. Do you think it is possible she remarried? Cannot find her on SSDI or Seeking MI. Glad you are well. Good luck.

Laura Bunkelman.
Thanks for the correction.
No I am not related to them. Would you like for me to transfer their memorials to you?

you wrote, "He died June 20, 1667." It should be 1967.

Are you related to the Jenne family? I am related to the Jennes thru my relationship with the Kents. My grandmother Carrie Besier-Reaume was the granddaughter of Chris Kenyon & E. Serelda "Sadie" Kent. The daughter of Elisha Kent & Jane Roberts-Kent.

Cleveland Calvary Request
Just a friendly mid June reminder that we need plot info to fill your Cleveland Calvary request(s). We have less than 500 requests left but plot info for only 6% of those, having already filled the rest with plot info. We can't ask for plot info for more than 3 requests per week. Please call (216) 641-7575 and obtain plot info. We'd really appreciate it and will fill your request(s) soon after getting plot info. Thank you!

Added by runner9 on Jun 14, 2013 4:35 PM

Not trying to nag, just FYI that we've cleared over 200 requests this spring and now have 626 requests—fewer than there were in June, 2012. We'd be happy to clear your request(s) but some/all do not have plot information. Please call (216) 641-7575 and obtain plot information. We most likely already have a plot map but will let you know once we have plot info if we also need a map. Thanks!

I'm glad the Giffing lot info was helpful. I have no idea who Brougham S. Giffing was. His name appears in the burial list for the lots, but there is no stone or inscription for him. Cemetery staff may be able to help.

Thank you for the additional information on Lisa

RE:Lisa was born Lisa Elzabeth C. Reynolds the daughter of Kinney & Margaret Kenyon-Reynolds in Dundee, MI. She married Henry Kirchgessner in 1885. They had a son, Edward Sebastian "Eddie" (1891-1981).

You've recently put in request(s) at Calvary in Cleveland. Several of us are actively working to clear the more than 745 requests. With 400,000 burials and 300 acres, if you could please obtain plot information AND a plot map one of us will be more likely to be able to fill the request, as the office will only give out a little information to each person. The office phone number is (216) 641-7575. On my page I have the plot maps listed that we already have which is quite a few. If the burial is in one of those sections we don't need another map, just the plot info on the request.

You can try to tell them you'll be visiting when they're closed, etc. So far everyone who's called has been successful in having a map mailed, a few e-mailed. If you get one let me know and I'll give you my e-mail address. With thousands of graves per section a plot map would be VERY helpful. Without plot information it's basically impossible.
