Link Families of Pittsburgh
I see that you have created grave memorials for people of the surname Link who lived in Pittsburgh. My 3rd great grandmother was Elizabeth Link who married Martin Diethrich at Pgh on 6 Sep 1832. I know very little about her and wish to learn more about the Link families who lived in Pgh the first half of the 19th century. Can you help me? My e-mail is Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Deb Morinello

I would like to post your photo of John Doane's memorial to his Wikipedia page. I have already posted your photo on Wikipedia for your reference, but that will come down unless I indicate the copyright status. If you are willing to permit me to post the photo to Wikipedia, and you have a preference for which copyright license I should use, please tell me. If you would prefer I not post it or you have no preference for a copyright license, please also let me know. Thanks.

Gertrude Weaton

Since her birth year was given on the grave stone as 1885, but you had 1886 Find-a-Grave didn't note it as a duplicate when I entered it.

I'd be glad to add the photo to your record and delete mine. Is your birth year correct? I know it's not unheard of to have information wrong on the head stone, but I'm sure you'll want to resolve the difference, in any case.

Thanks for letting me know.

Elizabeth Lucas
You sent me a message regarding Roy George Lucas not being the son of Elizabeth. You are correct. However, I did not make that link and therefore I cannot correct it. If you look on my memorial you will notice it shows that is a "calculated relationship" meaning someone else made the link on a different memorial. You need to contact the person who actually made the incorrect link. You can find out who did it by clicking on Roy Lucas's name and that will take you to his memorial and from there you can see who made that entry. Thank you.

Charles Alchin
FYI cemetery records state his birth as 3/1820 and death date as 8/11/1877. I could not find his wife Frances's stone but her parent's stones are right next to his.

You sent a sac saying:
"Please add daughter Patience Cobb, wife of Nathaniel Allen 26964002

I cannot add children to a parent. Parents are added to children.

Thank you.

Maria Kindelberger
My memorial 118769220 for who I thought was Johann Jacob's wife doesn't agree with info you provided from your source. So is this the wrong person or do I just have incorrect dates. I did get this information from WV death record and presumed she was his wife.

Kindelberger-Retzer info
YOU are a wealth of information and I appreciate your time to share it all with me. I will try to put this on their memorial pages if I can make clear sense of it. I know how most German names are many and most often use middle name since my grandparents were German and researching was fun. Your info explains the often confusion of her last name being Retzer or Kochert. thanks for clearing that up!

Kindelberger info
thanks very much for sending the information. I was confused with spelling also because can be found both ways Kindleberger/Kindelberger. I am hoping that photos of headstones will prove correct version. are you related?

Photo request Judson Dubois
I see a James Dubois and a Louise Dubois at the Park View Cemetery search site - Is Judson related to either? If so, I'll look near that person. This cemetery prefers all plots be looked up online and not by phone or in person (however not all are posted yet).

Ira & Mary Browne @ Grandview
Thanks for the additional information, we've updated their pages with the exception of Mary's middle name and year of death. Both cemetery records and California Death index show her middle name as Ellen (not Etta) and year of death as 1952 (not 1953).

Checked Ancestry's 1880 and 1900 Census records & public trees and didn't find a source to confirm her middle name one way or the other. Do you know when/where they were married? Marriage record might have something helpful.

Thanks again!

Retzer headstone
I felt so bad about the Retzer headstone photos. I hope you can read them well enough.
They were almost totally buried under dirt, and all I had with me to try to dig them out was the brush that I carry to clean off grass and dirt.
I used the handle of it, but it really wasn't very effective.
It really is a beautiful hadstone. I am leaving town in the morning, but when I get back, I want to go back over and work on trying to get it dug out more. I am going to take better tools with me now that I know what I am dealing with.
I hate that headstones are disrespected like that by the cemeteries. I'm a freak over how headstones are treated!!
Have a great day.

Hi there,
In the picture (which isn't my best, I admit) if you look under Alpheus' name, you will see "Samuel E.".

Just a quick cemetery move
Find A Grave 63686142 RESTIVO, ANGELO

Someone generated a NEW cemetery for the very old MASSACHUSETTS NATIONAL CEMETERY, BOURNE, MASS. Just scoot them over to the original and all will be just cool beans, I know, I've had to do it once.

Stephen Barry
Hi there,
You sent me a SAC message about Stephen Barry

and it doesn't make sense:

The son of Stephen and Mary Barry, Stephen Barry was b on the ocean ca 1816. He married Mary Elizabeth Stymer dau Martin Stymer and Ann or Nancy Perry Jackson 8 Nov 1841 (Prov VR 3:216) and d 16 Feb 1869 age 27
Mary Elizabeth Barry, wid Stephen A died 01 Nov 1890 at 70y 2m 22d of heart 234 N Main, Providence. Not a Roman Catholic, she is buried in the Old North Cemetery with her mother Anna and Sister Harriet, all 3 long time widows. Mary's Memorial 55314182

You are mixing up Stephens. Stephen Sr., Find A Grave Memorial# 10870319, died in 1883 in his 81st year. Stephen Jr. is the one who died in 1869 at age 27. You have info about the both of them all mixed together, and a birth date of c. 1816 that doesn't make sense for Stephen Sr., who would've been born c. 1802.
If you send me the CORRECT info, I'll be glad to add it, but right now I can't add what you sent to me.

RE: Winneconne Village Cemetery
You can send mail to directly. I'll eventually update dates and add obituaries for those I've found (about 2/3). Photo shoot will have to wait until spring/summer as winter is upon us in Wisconsin.

If you want ownership of any, let me know and I'll transfer after adding what I can.

Winneconne Village Cemetery
I have identified you as an owner of an existing memorial in the Winneconne Village Cemetery at

I wanted to let you know that I have taken this cemetery on as a project, and have uploaded over 2,500 additional names. I am in the process of editing dates, and adding scanned obituaries where there is one (about 2/3 of them do). You may wish to check out the new list of names in the event that additional relatives of yours have been added. I am more than happy to transfer ownership of any of your relatives to you, after updating their information as best I can.
