I have accepted the edits. If there is nay other info you want specifically added to the bio, let me know. I don't tend to repeat stuff already on the memorial, however (for example, if the person is linked to a husband, I do not repeat that in the bio--the same is true for birth and death place/date/etc. info.).

I checked with the cemetery and Ruth is buried next to Clifford. I would assume that she has no tombstone (Or I could have missed her when I was working on that section!) I've added her now.

Hi Barbara,

You posted photos of the gravestones of my gggrandparents, Sol & Tessie Hammer, in St. Louis. The condition of their stones was remarkably clean. Had you done any cleaning prior to taking the pics? If so, thank you! Tripp

RE: Hannah Halle Duke
Barbara,

A number of them are and I usually setup a source link to their Find-a-Grave or Billion Graves page from FamilySearch and Ancestry.

When you have a chance you can strike this line from Hannah Duke's writeup:

(It may be different in 1915 NY state census as I haven't been able to find them in there yet...)

I found them, it's Halle. :-)

Have a great day!

Thanks,
Chris

Hannah Halle Duke
Hello, I am fairly certain that Hannah's mother's maiden name was actually not Steinberg but was actually Steigbigel. Rose was one of the daughters of Isaac Steigbigel and Bertha Reich. Isaac was the son of George Steigbigel and Lillie Fladel. Isaac's brother Solomon also came and raised his family in New York City as well. They had a sister Dora who married Benjamin Goldblatt. She and one of her daughters were killed in a progrom in Poland and Benjamin later came to New York in his old age where three of his sons and one of his daughters had settled. I'm a descendant through his daughter Pauline.

Hannah had three other sisters: Lillian, Pearl, and Pauline. Lillian married Irving Rifkin, Pauline married Benjamin Roisman, and I have not been able to track down Pearl yet. On her Social Security Application Lillian identified her mother's maiden name as being Steigbigel.

Rose and Joseph married on 11 Nov 1906 in Manhattan. It was very hard for me to make the family connections because the marriage record lists his name as Joe Holeschitz. The birth record for Pearl lists his name as Jacob Hollischitz. Lillian also lists her surname as Haleshitz on her marriage record. But in all the US federal and NY state census records the family name given is Halle and that was what they all went by as time went on. (It may be different in 1915 NY state census as I haven't been able to find them in there yet...)

Everything I have been able to find out about the family has been put into the FamilySearch.org Family Tree, with all the relevant linked source records that they make available. I also use Ancestry very heavily and have everything on there too but not in any of my public trees yet.

I hope you find this useful.

All my best,
Chris Horn

Absolutely nothing could be read. The only way I could tell it is her stone is because they have plot number occasionally and I was able to count to get to her stone,

RE: Toalston/Stout
Do you mean William Toalston rather than William Stout. Please forgive me about all these new names - I am still a bit confused. It has been several years since I have worked on this line as I kept hitting dead ends.

Are you connected with this family? I have started working on this line again and found your info. William and Elizabeth Stout were my 2nd great grand parents.

Watson Family
Good morning Barbara. I found Jeremiah and Lyman in the Hinkle Lang Long Watson Family Tree owned by eslteachkh. This link might work if you copy and paste it to your browser:

http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/16693751/person/1873035655

According to the family tree, Lyman was born 3 May 1814 in Vermont, and died in Melrose, Grundy County, Iowa on 8 Feb 1889. His wife and many children are listed in the tree mentioned above.

Also, Lyman can be found on Find A Grave (Find A Grave Memorial# 79455170) here:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=watson&GSfn=lyman&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GScntry=4&GSob=n&GRid=79455170&df=all&

I wish you well in your search. Happy Mothers Day, if it applies.

Watson Family
Barbara,

I found some public family trees on Ancestry.com that show Benjamin Watson & Sarah Shaw were the parents of Jeremiah (b. 1804), Jacob (b. 1806), Mark (b. 1810), and Lyman (b. 1814). There is supporting documentation that lists Jacob's parents as Ben & Sarah Watson, but I couldn't find documentation for Mark that lists his parents, only the listing of children which includes Mark in the family trees.

Hope this helps,

Matt

Amelia Watson
Barbara,
Yes, I am related. Amelia was the wife of my great great grandfather's brother, or in other words, she was the wife of my 2nd great grand uncle. I am sorry, but I don't have any extended information for the Watson family. However, I will try to do some research this weekend on that family branch, and if I find something, I will pass it along.

Have a great weekend.

Matt

BARON HIRSCH CEMETERY
WENT TO BHC TODAY AND VISITED THE SECTION (B52) WHERE SIMON BRIMBERG IS BURIED. IT'S A SMALL SECTION SO IT WAS EASY TO CHECK EACH MARKER. THERE WERE NO MARKERS WITH THE EXACT SPELLING OF BRIMBERG BUT THERE WERE 3 GRAVES OF PEOPLE WITH THE SPELLING BROMBERG. IT WOULD NOT BE THE FIRST MISSPELLING, YOU DO HAVE SIMON BRINBERG. BECAUSE THIS SECTION DOES NOT HOLD MANY GRAVES AND SIMON IS BURIED THERE I WOULD CHECK THESE 3 NAMES
MATILDA BROMBERG D OCT 6 1925 AGE 6
SOPHIE BROMBERG D JAN 1 1924 AGE 68
ANNA BROMBERG D JULY 6, 1964 AGE 66
CHARLES BROMBERG D DEC 3 1972 AGE 78

GOOD LUCK
GEORGE
