Photo Request: Thomas Cook
Hi Patricia - when I fulfilled your photo request for Thomas Cook, I saw there were several family members in the plot. The gravestone is spelled "COOKE" and the online Oak Hill Cemetery list spells the last name as "COOK". This is the memorial number for Thomas "COOKE".

Cemetery Location
Hello, Respectfully, there is only one Mountain View Cemetery in Pierce County. Everyone thinks it is in Tacoma but it is actually in Lakewood. If you could move your adds to the correct cemetery, it would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Bernice E. Malloy
April 25, 2012, 05:00 AM

Bernice E. Malloy (Bea), resident of Menlo Park, currently of Millbrae, was born April 26, 1911, and died April 17, 2012.

Bernice (Bea) was born in Chicago, Ill. to Bruno and Amelia Mitchell.

She married Thomas J. Malloy in 1931 and is survived by their three children: Sarah Kathleen Kruse of Sunrise, Fla.; Barbara Gauger of San Mateo; and Dr. Thomas E. Malloy of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Bea was a homemaker and she lived many years in Lisle, Ill. where her husband served as the town's first Mayor. She moved to Millbrae in 1962 when her husband, Tom, was transferred to California by Western Electric Co., a division of AT&T.

Both Tom and Bea were wonderful dancers and danced whenever an opportunity presented itself. They also were world travelers and traveled to many countries. One of their favorite ways to travel was by cruise ship because it afforded them the opportunity to use their love for dancing along with sight seeing.

She lived close to 50 years in Millbrae and the last four years at Glenwood Inn (Casa de Peninsula) in Menlo Park where she made many new friends. She led an active life and was involved with her many descendants until shortly before a brief illness claimed her life.

Tom preceded Bea in death in 1999 at age 90, while Bea lived to be just days short of 101. They had a long and wonderful life together and she was ready to be reunited with her love.

Bea is survived by her three children, 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, her brother Medard Mitchell and a grandson John Paul Gauger.

A mass will be said in her honor at St. Dunstan's church in Millbrae noon May 3. She will then be interred alongside her husband at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.

Thomas & Beatrice/Bernice Malloy
Patricia,
I found both obituaries which verified that the burials were indeed at Holy Cross Cemetery at Colma, CA. I also found the reason why they didn't seem to be in the H.C. data base: "Beatrice" is shown as "Bernice" and Thomas, who died 10/26/1999, was buried 2/3/2000, which threw the search off.
I'll go back to get the photo next week. Would you like copies of their obitiuaries!

Bridget Wilson
I posted the photo you requested for Bridget Wilson but was wondering if you know if the William J Wilson that is listed on findagrave was her husband? The birth date on the stone is different than on the memorial page but the death date is the same. I have his photo of his stone but don't want to post it to the wrong memorial page. Thanks for any help you can give.

Charles' headstone is apparently out for engraving. I have added two pics and I will go back in a couple of weeks and see if the headstone has been replaced and take it then.

I just added Harry's obit to his page as well (mem# 5347860). I'll try to get up to the cemetery to get some photos soon. If I don't this week then next week as my family and I will be pre-occupied this weekend. Hope this helps! :o]

Pearl M Doyle
Hi! Until I'm able to get up to the Mt Pleasent cemetery I'm searching the public records via the Seattle Public library. I came up with Pearl's obituary (mentions Harry Doyle too). I've attached it to her page (mem# 5347865) and if you click the image of the obit you can see what I've added below it.) I have the full page on PDF if you want it (no charge of course as we're all volunteers here! :o) Just let me know and I can email it to you. :o]

You requested a picture of a headstone of this person, but there is no last name. She is buried in Holy Sepulchre cemetery in Omaha, NE. I am assuming husband to Albert Malloy, but don't want to take any chances. Could you please add her last name even if it is only her married name. At least it gives us something to look up.

Thanks

Alice McNulty
Patricia: I believe you requested a photograph of Alice McNulty's gravesite at St. Isidore. I did find Alice next to Edmund McNulty, but the dates for her on the grave marker are 1905-1998. I believe you had them listed as 1906-1966. I don't want to post the photo unless I'm sure I have the right one (dated 1905-1998).
