Hi - I am sorry to say I can't help you much. I added this from a cemetery census. I am thinking someone provided me with the DOB since it isn't on the stone. Looking at the other's I added in this cemetery I typically didn't have a DOB. When someone provides me with info, I always add it unless I happen to know that it is wrong, or it conflicts with the stone. Unfortunately this is the problem with the SACs, often the info is wrong. But, often it is right, so it isn't a terrible thing.
I didn't take the photo, so I never saw the stone. Looking closely at the photo it looks like a 1, not a 4 to me.

My typing skills shows my advanced age. I meant no disrespect towards the Corporal.

I have transferred his memorial to you. He is now with his Service Family. God bless and keep up the good work of remembering those who gave it their all.

I added on the rank (that I could choose from) for MSG Tulsa Tuliau. I also included him being honored on Warriors Walk, Ft. Stewart, GA in his bio. Thank you for that. Your memorial for SGT Lui Tumanuvao, he is buried on his family's land in American Samoa. He graduated with my husband.... Take Care~

First, Thank you for your service, and Second, Thanks for letting me know that the cenotaphs at Warriors Walk were deleted. I don't know why they were and it saddens me that all that information is lost. They will not be forgotten. My last duty station was Fort Stewart (B Co MP 24th ID), so for now, I'll keep SFC Salie's memorial in my care.

Tony, Thank you for letting me know about the other memorial for Nicholas. Both memorial are valid. I believe he is buried in Foresthill. I believe the memorial in Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery
Nevada City, Nevada County, California is a cenotaph.

I would like to be more helpful and take a ride back to the cemetery to take a closer look, however, I moved to Maine this past year. I looked at the photograph and it looks like a 1 not a 4. You may want to contact the Methodist Church in Fostertown, Newburgh,NY,right across the street from the cemetery. I also found a typed document on Ancestry.com from the Methodist church that states he was born March 27,1790, not January. On the stone where his age is inscribed 81 years, 5 mo, and 20 days, the calculation to determine his date of birth would come out as Jan 28,1790. If you believe the age inscribed is 84 years,5 mo and 20 days, his birth date would calculate as Jan. 28,1787. The 1787 birth date is not in consensus with his age on the 1860 US census in Newburgh,NY or his widow's application for his military service pension OR the Methodist church document (record of baptism) I mentioned above. I think that is an 81 not 84.Sorry I could not have taken that ride to look again. I like to be as accurate as possible.

I'd like to chat about your family. I actually knew your grandparents as a child. I visited them often when I stayed with my grandmother on Stay Rd.
I'll wait to hear from you.

Wow very cool. That would be awesome if you could check when there. Funny on the McGrath thing as my Great Great a grandfather was James McGrath he was from Tipperary and never came to the U.S. My O'Callaghans are from Banteer

Curious what you know if anything about this Cemetery. I have relatives buried there. Daniel O'Callaghan died in 1906 and a big Celtic Cross wss put up in his name. Many of his siblings are buried with him and there names are on the base of the Cross. I do have a picture of the cross. I am curious if there parents Johanna Kelleher O'Callaghan and Michael O'Callaghan are buried there too. Johanna died in 1893 and Michael in 1899.... They lived in Banteer. Anything you might be able to add would be helpful.

At one point the Catskill library had the year of 1971 Catskill Daily Mails online. They don't seem to be accessible any longer however. Link http://catskill.advantage-preservation.com/
This is where I came across the obituary for Richard Stamp. I am sorry but I have no other information. Maybe someday I will get down to Palenville to take photos. So many cemeteries, so little time!!!!

Can you change the first line of the "bio?" It still says "Hometown: Chestertown"
Those are not my words. They are the words of the US Govt. I can't change what the government has him listed as so I just removed the whole section.

Elizabeth, I heard from Zeimer's father. The Army told him in November 2007 that Matthew was killed by friendly fire. He sent me the copy of a more recent news article. Let me know if you want to add it to the findagrave site.
Yes, any other information is great. If in jpg you can add, if not I can c/p and give you credit for sending.

I can't take credit, you should thank Janet who added the memorial & took the photo. I'm just trying to sort out some duplications between the 3 Hortonville cemeteries in my county. I am glad I could bring it to your attention though :)

Thank you for the link, Tony. I've linked Beulah to Broocks and also asked the owner of that memorial to correct the spelling of her husband's name. It's the same on both their gravestones: Broocks.
