Dear Carol Kane,
While searching for a Malinda (Deboie) Powers who in 1874 married William Powers in Carroll County, Missouri, we came across your memorial #104332562.

We are still searching for Mrs. William Powers.

|Joyce Nelson||John Piant|
John Piant, b 3 Jan 1820, Florissant MO
d 27 Aug 1898, Florissant MO was my 5th gr grandfather.
I just noticed the findagrave post that has his death date as 1878. There were also names of only some of his 9 children.
I would like to correct dates ofthe post as well as add all of his children's names.
I am in posession of an original document from the local Catholic church stating his death date.
I cannot send an attachment thru this. Should I just make the corrections?
I know your job is had & I do appreciate all your work.
Please let me know.

I can't remember if i responded to this message. So please excuse me if I'm repeating myself. Don't remove the photos. What I think has happened is this. In doing my research I have seen these types of markers used to mark the Family Lot. Then in most cases each individual person had an individual marker. In this case it appears that no other family members were able or wanted to use this lot.
Also for reason no one knows their inscriptions or individual markers were never paid for or processed. We will probably never know. But finding them & documenting it is the most important thing right now. Well thats it, thank you for your time & help. You & your family have a safe & enjoyable Easter together. Take care & God bless.

Thanks so much for responding. Yes I would like to make a contact & find out the cemetery records on their burials etc. etc. When you volunteers help us it is so helpful & appreciated. As for the photos
if there are no others with inscriptions just leave them posted. What else can you do if thats all there is. Maybe a notation needs to be made with the photos or the memorial about this type of marker. Ya know what I mean? Have a safe & enjoyable weekend. Take care & God bless.

Thank you for getting the photo but I have a question. Was there a marker for Charles with his inscription? This photo looks like a Family Monument Marker for the family lot. Thank you again for your time & helping us out here, it is most appreciated, have a great day. Take care & God bless.

You don't need to ask her - that's fine that you keep his memorial. I will be sending you a SAC to link to his parents and bio. There are many members of Find a Grave who add many memorials for persons they are not related to nor even know.

Thanks for creating a memorial for Tabitha, and thanks for the heads-up to link her to Helen!

Yes, I understand your not wanting to part with them. I will keep an eye on your progress to update my family lines. The Teson lines are vast and entangling, there is so much misinformation out there, I stopped trying to tackle it myself. There is one story my mother told me about Francis (Francois) that really blurred the lines. If you are interested, I will email and tell you the folklore. I've received several emails from Historians in the area. But none really explain the discrepancies I found. I found many documents from the area Church, but they are very hard to read. So I've gone on to other lines. Thank You, Lettie

I also grabbed a pic of Samuel's headstone and uploaded it as well. It's nearing an unreadable state so hopefully the photo will be enough to preserve the info.

Glad I could help. How are things going for you? I've not looked at the Darrough/Loy/Russell family lines for some time. I may have to dust those files off again.

Good to hear from you again! Thanks for the information on the Tesson surname spelling.
I've made the corrections and up-dated the memorials.
Be sure to let me know if you come up with anything else! I'm always glad to be able to make improvements.

I do not live in St. Louis anymore, but in Tucson, AZ. I have family in St. Louis, but none of them are interested in the family history. I have two cousins, neither live in St. Louis, but are helping with our family info. My mother's grandmother was Cecile Overy ( Ouvre/ Auvray). My mother knew nothing about her family other than we had French ancestors. Cecile Overy had a brother, Alexander Overy, who married Helene/Mary Ellen DeHatre. I believe she died in childbirth!

Hi, are you a relative of the Teson's & Lachasse's? I am related through the Ouvre/Overy family.

This is awesome! Thank you so much... and no, not at all confusing. I love to make family connections. Problem with these lines is the really confusing spellings in all the documents. Tesson / Teson / Tisson / Tison / Tezon etc. Again, THANK YOU, and keep it coming! Best Wishes, Lettie

Carol, thank you for your dedication to search the old records for the burials in the Old St Ferdinand Cemetery, and adding them to Find A Grave. Along with your brief and interesting bios that you have added for some of them, it has helped me put some pieces together.
Thank you for the great work, and Andrew for the great photos,

There are 8 parts to section 29- 0,1,2,3,4 and A,B or C. That's according to my cemetery map. The whole section is the size of a small cemetery.
