poland family
hello there. I have been researching my family history for a very long time. My uncle has recently asked me to do his linage. I have gone back as far as Alfred/alford poland but i see that he died in the civil war and can not find his fathers or mothers names anywhere. Do you have any tips or know of anything I can do to find this info. thank you Laura Jones

RE: Photo Request
You are very welcome! I looked for A. Bryan but didn't find him .... can't say it was an exhaustive search, though, so I'll look for him again another day. Even though there are grave numbers at many graves, the numbers are not necessarily in order ...

Hilda, Dickens "Lyles"
My aunt Hilda was not buried at Forest Hills Cemetary in Nashville, NC. She did have a plot designated for her there, but her family decided to bury her elsewhere...I'm not sure where.

Thanks

Jonathan Reeves
Nehemiah Joyner
Hi,

Came across some of your posts online about Nehemiah Joyner. Hoping to email you later to discuss him and the Joyner family. I'm descended from Frederick Joyner from Lancaster Co., SC (was part of Craven). I think it is likely he is a son of Nehemiah Jr. Would love more information on the Nehemiahs as I don't have much. My email is jer0007@tigermail.auburn.edu - I have a lot of information about the Frederick Joyner family online at http://reeveshome.org/genealogy/page.php?id=barrett

Griffin, Robert
I almost forgot - in Robert E. Griffin's memorial you show his parents to be Jesse Griffin and Amanda Pope, however within the death certificate it shows his parents as Jesse Griffin and Amanda Wright. Did Jesse have two wives? Heide

Griffin and Moore
Dear Helen,
You have Robert E. Griffin's memorial: 67967737
Robert married Martha Mahala Moore, and their daughter was Annie Pearl, or Pearl, Griffin Harris: 120184548 Do you have any additional information on Martha Mahala Moore? I have only her name, nothing else. Do you know if there were additional children in Martha and Robert's marriage. I don't believe you list any children of this marriage. These people are ancestors of my son-in-law, and I've only just begun to research them. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Heide Becker Langenbeck

Sarah Taylor Baker
Are you related to Sarah Taylor Baker?
I read the information on her memorial.
I am especially interested in the information concerning the parents of John D. Baker.
Do you know if Cherry is a surname that was used as a middle name when John Cherry Taylor was named?
"Sarah is the daughter of John Cherry Taylor and Druscilla B. Poland. She married John D. Baker, son of Alexander Baker and Christiana Strickland."

Mabel Claire Murchison
Regarding memorial page 39321909, the photo of a headstone that you've added is not the correct stone for this Mabel Murchison. I contacted the owner of the page who replied: Bill, In regards to my entry for Mabel Claire Murchinson (#39321909), I did not post the picture of the grave marker. It appears that you are correct that the grave marker posted is wrong and should not be with this entry. My info for the entry came from her North Carolina Death Certificate, Social Security and the U.S. Census. "My" Mabel was a school teacher and she never married. Right now, I very busy with the things related to Matthew (just got back power)...so could you pleased contact the contributor of the gravestone photo. Thank you. Shelburn Wilkes, Orlando, FL
