I received your edit for Isaac (Find A Grave# 95961225) and wondering if the death location you sent is correct. Isaac is no relation to me.

I uploaded an obituary to the memorial from the Robinson Constitution which I believe is for Isaac Spencer Glaze.

I declined your edit request and if you feel like your information is correct, please contact me.

Thanks

NP Dave, happens to the best of us. Worst are the ones where a request for link to parents are made. Except both parents dead for 10 years before son is born. Another tricky one :)

thanks, interesting the second photo which is probably a relative spells the last name Ayres on the marker. Maybe his wife, it at least has dates on it. Also, is his name James? BJ

Thanks for the added information about Elizabeth. I have placed your note on her page. From it, I was able to discover more about her and her daughter Sarah, whose memorial I updated as well. -Mike

Very interesting. I will ck some things out, but I was mainly going to the IOOF cemetery note. Thanks for all the info. Pat.

I can not find which IOOF cemetery that Emeline Francis is buried in. The #186 doesn't seem to come up anywhere. If I give you her info could you enter a memorial for her? Pat.

RE: GAR vets
David, yes I actually do live in Oakland, that's why I choose Evergreen cemetery to document. I am finally on the last photo section YEA. I would be interested in another project when I finish it. Could start by creating a spreadsheet of names and war that is listed on their marker. That would take awhile in itself. Have offered my info before but no takers. Will appreciate any expertise you can offer. BJ

RE: James E Landes
David, no I have not compiled any type of list. My photo library is by section, so it might not be to hard to go through at least the Veterans section. The other "stray" veterans memorials in other sections are another story. If this is something that would interest you, let me know and I could work on it for you. Thanks for responding to my email. Yea, some information. Those older military markers annoy me. So glad you were able to find him and give his memorial some spark. Are you related to the family, or is it part of your "hobby"? BJ

Hello, I updated the bio of Judge Charles W Craighill (Find A Grave Memorial# 171848368) per your request. Thank you for the information you provided. This kind of information really enhances the memorials, and brings them back to life. It restores a certain amount of dignity to the individual. Best wishes to you.

MockingbirdTales
Baird family
Thanks David for information. Like you, I enjoy figuring out "what happened" way back when. I also majored in History (San Jose State) and loved the subject ever since wandering around NYC as a kid and having a mother who took me to Boston, Philadelphia, and New York locales where history is everywhere and where so many of my ancestors settled 100's of years ago. Look forward to whatever you discover about the Baird family. (Since his wife Mary was from Michigan, makes since he may have gone back there after her death to take care of family business or perhaps live with family still there.)

Omar Allen Baird (buried at East Lawn in California)
David,
Thanks for your inquiry. I checked a couple of items including the California Digital Newspaper Collection(free on the internet) and discovered an obit for his wife Mary J. Baird - died in 1908, a year before Omar. They are both buried at East Lawn, Sacramento and I linked them. They had a son Casper Baird who died as a teenager (in Glenn County) and on his marker it says "Son of O.A. and M.J. Baird". The family is also noted in the 1880 U.S. census (in Colusa, CA). So............does not appear to be your Homer Baird. Hope this helps.

Hi David, Thanks for writing. I don't know if we 'tie together' way back when or not. Theough our ancestors were kind of in the same local at times. I haven't run across any of the names you mentioned.

Find A Grave Memorial# 23621469. Thanks for the SAC. I probably should try and enhance more decedents at her burial location. I have received occasional SACs and Edits for them but all were apparently intestate and I've not the time to access county records.

RE: Pvt Ralph G Creighton
My email address was shown on my member page where you left your message, and you could always send the info using the edit tab as well. Either way, the obit for Ralph was easy to find so I added it. I also linked him to his mother, but do not see his father on find-a-grave. If you know where the father is buried, please add that link to Ralph using the edit tab.

Capt. William D. Sering
David,

Thanks for posting your salute to Capt. William D. Sering and the link to the Civil War letters written by Andrew F. Davis. Capt. Sering was a distant cousin of mine and with much interest I read all the letters written by Andrew F. Davis and was of course delighted to see mention of him. Had it not been for your post to his Find A Grave memorial, I would have never known. Thank you so much!

RE: Alfred D Owen
You may be correct, but one thing bothers me. The Alfred D. Owen that was in the 15th Indiana was from Union County, Indiana, which is on the complete other side of the state than New Harmony is. If you can get me conclusive evidence that it is the same person I will be more than happy to add his service in the 15th to his page.
Thanks,
Eric
