RE: Irvin, Guyan D.
not quite sure, I'm related to the Irvin's, which comes from the line of the Martell's. Are you related to Mr. Irvin?

Hi Joy,

Many thanks for the information. I've been there many times but had no further info other than they were buried there. The other Peterson, Alfred?, might be a brother to Nelson. Both Nelson and wife Hannah were born in Sweden, married prior to coming to the US and supposedly Hannah's maiden name was also Peterson. Makes chasing them down very difficult!

Thanks again!

Is the Epworth Methodist Church Cemetery the one that is directly behind the Palmyra police station? That's where I have looked for my grandparents Nelson and Hannah Peterson numerous times but the stones are gone. Just wanted to verify for myself the info you put on Find A Grave.

RE: Grover Wentz photo
You are more than welcome. Really sorry it had so much black lichen (or whatever) on it and therefore didn't make for a very good picture.

Mary Kerr #60868910
If you look at the 5 in 5 days, it's completely different. An abstract from Egle's Notes and Queries 1898 Edition reads: "Kerr, Mary died 1861, aged 86 years" That fits the census record which shows her at age 85 in 1860.

This is a puzzle.

I just noticed that her tombstone says she was 86 years old when she died rather than 36.

I believe that this was my great great grandmother's sister. The Cook family, in my tree, lived in Antes Fort, Nippenose Twp. from the 1820s. Catharine would have been the daughter of James and Elizabeth Cook. She was born in 1829 and, as far as I have been able to trace, never married. The last record I have for her is on the 1880 Nippenose Census. Her brother, Samuel Cook, is buried in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. If this is her then she would have died around 1906.

Hi Joy,

I added you to my list of find-a-grave family members on my profile page. I figure we are 5th half-cousins, once removed.

Hello Joy,

Thanks for correcting me on the death year for Emma. It clearly states 1904 on the headstone. Most have put up her memorial late at night when I was tired. hahaha
